There is a minority in almost every hotel (highly transient) that is out of touch with our 'youtube' reality. Life is raw, and open wounds persist. I lived it, and still see some of it here in NYC, in my hotel, but nothing like SF. I never saw such a sad place, a dumping ground for living beings. The pain all comes back to me. There are people there I wish I could help. I miss some things, despise others.
