Yeah, I am pretty sure of that... I think the main characters of the series varied like... I think it goes like this

Soul Blade: Mitsurugi or Siegfried

Soul Calibur Legends: Siegfried(DURR)

Soul Calibur: Kilik and Xianghua

Soul Calibur II: I think its Rahpael or Nightmare

Soul Calibur III: Siegfried

All and all I know Siegfried is one of the most important characters to the storyline.

I know it kinda sucks now. What was namco thinking?? Mitsu was one of the coolest&most badass character created since the days of the arcade soul blade. To me he was one of the most unique samurai created in a game. Now they made him to generic and such uninspiring story. Only good is he still looks cool but still,could have been heroic instead of some useless angry guy. I hope he doesnt get dropped. aside from generic story, they completely cut him from the actual storyline for the SC games, his character played litterally no part in the overall story, he's just kinda there. kinda dissapointing since he was the main character in SB and in this game he was noble in judgement, trusting in his own strength and ever so longing to grow both physically and mentally. he basically went from likable/memorable at one point in this game to forgettable in the next game.

your absolutley right, I don't know y they did that. he was the main character in SB and was a noble and honored warrior.although he wanted to gain strength to protect his home,his new intention was to destroy soul edge after realizing it was consumed with evil. he knew from right to wrong and his story could have gone from there. Maybe helping sophitia. In fact he was one of the most noble, where other char committed crimes and wanted to make up their sins.

He didn't set out to be a hero. They did add Setsuna. He killed her master, fair and square and now she wants to gut him. That's sort of his story too. He now has someone after his life, that's a beautiful woman.... I almost think he's lucky

Thats true, mitsu's base was never really that strong, but thats the typical MAIN CHARACTER symdrome though, i mean look at Ryu from Street Fighter, his story was just about getting stronger, not against anything in particular just getting stronger and hes always been the main character every other main character is model after the lone warrior essentially but they could have applied him into the story by making him the one to fight cervantes and save sophitia but no they gave that part to taki.

That's also true. He's the typical "wants to get stronger" type. And that type is good. Guess they slightly dropped the ball. Cause I think they managed to make Ryu's story kinda interesting in the alpha games thanks to akuma and ken. They should stop repeating him discovering Sould Edge is evil(i've only played upto part two) but he's still figuring that out all over again. Don't know what he's doing in part 4 but I really want it.
