  • Te gek Daddy, Wampus Cats an Fencebreakers!!

  • Carl!

You have produced another classic video. I really like the lighting in this one...your soulful shadow cast on the pine ship-lap wall.

Your playing is both entertaining and instructive.

Will you produce more using your Brauchli?

I need to get my video skills up so I can join you on the youtube weissenborn club.

The techniques you employed in Red Sand Serenade are spectacular.

  • Thanks for doing this song.

I was just listening to it yesterday !

Oscar Woods has some great slide tunes and this one is one of the best.

  • Haha, I love the solo!

  • Interesting. I'm noticing that most blues songs are either work songs or dancing songs. It makes sense. This is definitley a dancing song.

    Great job once again!

  • Great job again daddy!

  • Very cool.

  • Very impressive! Looks like fun to do on lap guitar and easy....but nooooooo everything is so gall dang hard lol. Great timing! as usual great voice and lyrics too. Best Regards Thomas.

  • Carl, you gone done it again!

SO entertaining! You have such a great feel for these old tunes, total respect for this valuable tradition and your own unique style & feel just go together so well.

Yotube's star-ratings just don't go high enough for your clips!

i realy wish, one day, i play that resonator-guitar so well as you do,

might take some time, my friend,

but i think, a +point is, that i realy enjoy, playing slide or lap, day by day, right ?!

    Grtz-Kurt !!! BTW *****

  • as ever absolutely superb, i love watching and listening to your video's.

  • Wow!!! Yours? Tuning?

  • Thanks for the kind words.

    Somehow the explanation in the textbox didn't come through. I updated it so check again please;

  • Carl:

Dobro G (GBDGBD) or Spanish (DGDGBD)

  • I'm in Spanish or low G tuning DGDGBD; however there is a transcription of this song in Woody Mann's book "Bottleneck Blues" that is in GBDGBD (I find that highly improbable though)

  • Jesus, this is beautiful
