I HIGHLY recommend people who are used to playing traditional korean mmo's to try this. It completely changed my perspective on MMO's and honestly, I cant go back to grinding in those korean games. Yea you do grind in this game but it's a different type of grind. It feels less heavy if you know what I mean? Try this game.
I played this game starting in closed beta until it reached G9. G1-G3 had one of the best communities ever in a game. Soon after that though everyone started getting dramatic and stuff =.= .... i remember killing 1 person in pvp would bring the whole server against you LOL. well! atleast their all close ^-^
whats the objective of the game and I think its too complicated to defeat monsters I mean is it easy and fast enough to move your charter while trying to defeat a monster in the game?

This opening got me interested when I tried downloading it, but after that I had no total clue what to do ('xD) The community actually is nice, somebody gave me a Dragon Blade, but Im still lost in playing the game, cannot tell whats strong or deadly, dont know how to get a bigger wallet (;w ;") and the colors of the animals confuse me, I kill a brown bear with a decent time, but when I saw the damage I barely did on a burgundy bear, I ran like hell, trying to enjoy it. :U

I remember during G1, Dugald Aisle had so many people traveling from Tir to Dunby. Back then, when somone made a campfire there, people actually stopped and sat down with the person. I couldn't play for...3, 4 years? (Most in part was because I got a new computer and I was too lazy to re install the game..) Now, everyone is in Dunby, going Afk while selling and buying shet.
Like omg! I remember when Tir had shops in them! Those were the days. Now people only play Fashionogi, there is even a guild named "Fashionogi." How dumb. Now a bunch of morons just sit in Dunbarton waiting for their stuff to get bought.
I miss the old Mabinogi... When there were people in Tir all the time..... not selling crap in Dunbarton. When nobody crashed anybody at all. When you would rarely see somebody with a transformation and when you did see one.... You would practically bow down to them. -stares into the distance- 0___0 -sigh- Yup... Those were the days :l

I use to play this game. I loved it. Until I actually got really lazy to do my quest, I just sit around anywhere or in dunbarton. And cause of my laziness I quit mabi. now i having second thoughts about it.

@Doomed100 Depends of who you talk to, I have personally been trolled a lot more in mabinogi than maplestory. When I say trolled, I refer to these campers in dunbarton.
@NarooluCA I'm basing it on Tarlach server, I don't play on ruari because I hear it's hacker central, and I hear mari players overreact and are mellodramatic. Tarlach, on the otherhand, I hear is the server of people who play as the opposite gender.
i really want to play this game but it keeps saying during the download that there is a error with files or something i tried redownloading it 3 times now and still nothing can anyone help
it confused me what the hell mabi heroes was untill I found out it is Vindictus :P I miss the times when you got Eiry as ur first weapon instead of practice short bow, short sword, or mallet Q~Q
well maybe mabi 2 not heros will be better also heard from some people saying graphics will be able to run on low spec comps as well as high end :) just hope ur characters and pets can be transferd
The reason Mabinogi sucks is because everybody strives to become the best. Not that I'm saying that's bad, but when we get to R1 on all of our skills, we realize there's nothing to do anymore. The whole point in the game was to make friends and have fun getting to the top. People don't realize this and now their stuck merching in Dunbarton and grinding.
When people say they " miss the old days", its because at the start of G1 mabinogi looked like the video. A group of people who helped eachother out and everything was so new and amazing. Now its a bunch of morons sitting at dunbarton merching 24/7 :l
@iDemonicPanda I miss the old days as well even before G9 came, everyone was so kind to each other and helped just like you said. Now, people don't help as often and drama seems to strike now at least in Mari Server (known as Nao Server before name change). I'll probably go on Alexina since it's new.

It was just starting to feel like a new adventure and where the continent Iria didn't even arrive yet. Oh and especially those days where OMG NO ONE CAN KILL THE SUPA BADASS GOLEM...but now we can ;D
@PVumbe To be honest, I have only been around mabi for 4~5 months. But even I miss those days. Rank 1 transformations (transformations give you more power and stats for a limited amount of time) were a symbol of power, but every other person in Mabi has it now. Humans with AR (A good range attack) were impossible to find, but pretty much every Pvp human has it. I could sit here and list tons more examples, but you get the point. And generations are like large and permanent events in the game.
@TheJudenhater Vindictus is the prequal to this game and is known as "mabinogi heroes" everywhere else. It's a spectacular mmorpg game, but despite being the base for vindictus the gameplay differs greatly. Instead of spamming bash or slash like on vindictus, you load and charge skills to use them, or use basic attack by clcking on the mob to load a basic attack. Monsters are notoriously hard to kill, and kil 4 hit KO you unless your a tank. It's a fantasy life game, with you as the chosen one.
What a damn shame about the hackers but it's so fun

level 100-300: Have fun trying to rank trans and get new skills
level 300-999: Get better skills and and work on getting adv skill pages.
level 1k+: Sit in front of dunb healers and wait for someone to pvp you or buy something you're selling.

@NarooluCA I'm basing it on Tarlach server, I don't play on ruari because I hear it's hacker central, and I hear mari players overreact and are mellodramatic. Tarlach, on the otherhand, I hear is the server of people who play as the opposite gender.

The reason Mabinogi sucks is because everybody strives to become the best. Not that I'm saying that's bad, but when we get to R1 on all of our skills, we realize there's nothing to do anymore. The whole point in the game was to make friends and have fun getting to the top. People don't realize this and now their stuck merching in Dunbarton and grinding.

When people say they " miss the old days", its because at the start of G1 mabinogi looked like the video. A group of people who helped eachother out and everything was so new and amazing. Now its a bunch of morons sitting at dunbarton merching 24/7 :l

@iDemonicPanda I miss the old days as well even before G9 came, everyone was so kind to each other and helped just like you said. Now, people don't help as often and drama seems to strike now at least in Mari Server (known as Nao Server before name change). I'll probably go on Alexina since it's new.

Sure, I'm only total lvl 91 but all of the people are soooooooooooooooooooo nice. Like you don't have a skill, I met somebody yesterday who was gonna help me get a skill of his (dragon gen skill). And btw, I still can't solo badass golem T-T

@PVumbe This game seems to progress a lot and some people miss the old days where everyone was a noob. It was just starting to feel like a new adventure and where the continent Iria didn't even arrive yet. Oh and especially those days where OMG NO ONE CAN KILL THE SUPA BADASS GOLEM...but now we can ;D

@PVumbe To be honest, I have only been around mabi for 4~5 months. But even I miss those days. Rank 1 transformations (transformations give you more power and stats for a limited amount of time) were a symbol of power, but every other person in Mabi has it now. Humans with AR (A good range attack) were impossible to find, but pretty much every Pvp human has it. I could sit here and list tons more examples, but you get the point. And generations are like large and permanent events in the game.

@TheJudenhater Vindictus is the prequal to this game and is known as "mabinogi heroes" everywhere else. It's a spectacular mmorpg game, but despite being the base for vindictus the gameplay differs greatly. Instead of spamming bash or slash like on vindictus, you load and charge skills to use them, or use basic attack by clcking on the mob to load a basic attack. Monsters are notoriously hard to kill, and kil 4 hit KO you unless your a tank. It's a fantasy life game, with you as the chosen one.
