dang... something I havent done lately... tho I push all the blood to my legs first so my muscles have to work harder in my chest and back and shoulders... 300 (movie) thats what they did
i dont use this warm up BUT Ive actually been using his programs and so far its been working. For once in my life i have a 4 pack and starting to get a 6 pack. nice ... good warm up though
Almost a complete waste of time unless you're 90 and arthritic. The only part approaching effectiveness was the Bulgarian split squats at the end. How does slow wiggling while holding a railing warm anything up or prime the CNS? How about some dynamic flexibility and mobility drills? And apparently the upper body doesn't need to warm up?
I don't agree with all he is saying. I like the idea of making stretching more dynamic, but there is still a place for static stretching. Static stretching doesn't make you tired and not feel like working out. Many people do poor or no stretching before a workout, so doing it would make them feel better. I think that is where some of his feedback came from...people that weren't doing it right or doing it at all? Still, some good ideas in here....I do agree upper body was a little ignored.
sorry johncfl too much short form i presume i meant too say that i need upper warmups as well bcause im playing bball & im just wondering if anyone know of any free plyometrics to increase my vertical jump
Seems quite involved. Then what, 10 minutes of upperbody? Then what, 60 minutes of a workout, then how much time for a cool down --I have a life too outside the gym? I don't understand how the nevervous system is being primed. I also don't follow how a warmup on a treadmill or bike would only affect the core -- you're moving your legs and that's lowerbody not core.
I totally get your point "johncfl". Vince is doing lower body warm-up and sretching for a leg routine. You can do a short treadmill jog of 5 minutes, then stretches and go ahead with your leg workout. Really, an intense routine could just be 15-20 minutes long. Then do some more stretches and go home! All in 35-40 minutes with the stretching and warm-up. Don't waste time in the gym when your ready to workout, just be sure your ready. ;-)
Thanks Vince for another great video! If there is one thing everyone should NEVER neglect is proper warm-up and stretching! You can also do very light weighted dumbbells for the shoulders, then a set of push-ups, then full 360 degree arm rotations. There are also other basic upper body stretches, but also pulling off of the corner of a wall or the vertical bars in front of Vince to stretch the lats and rear delts with the thumbs downward grip.
not only warming up but stretching too mek ur body less flexible wll if not done properly its quality not quantity! anyway gud point rodeohog i nid upper too for bball. btw dus any1 no any gud simple plyometric system 4 free js 2 increase my vertical jump thnx gud vids too it works
Up. Let me rephrase. VinceD's pecs look too big for the rest of him. Is that better ? Maybe he needs to ease off the chest workouts or hit the delts harder.
I love this guy! He is so freakin awsome...and so is his wife.

Hey Vince,
a little bit more intensity would do better. It´s not a shame to sweat during the warm-up. Or is it a 50+ warm-up?
Sporty greetings from Germany!

youa re supposed to get your body warm before doing any stretches. so some warm up exercises should be done before even light stretches

I wish the camera would have zoomed out more because for most of the time, we only see part of your body.

Static stretches should come after your workouts. Unlike Dynamic stretches that should be done before.

This guy looks like he has chest fat
trulynot 3 years ago
He's got 2 shirts on and the outer one is not tucked in so you could not possibly see his waist. You can count on him having a 6-pack!
johncfl 3 years ago
You can have a six pack and still have man boobs. Estrogen spike from meds or steroids.
trulynot 3 years ago
Good one. You could also play the "what if" game, but instead just go to his video where he's bare-chested.

I did. It looks like he has puffy nipples and some fluid on the chest. What now ?
