their voices are way different in the first few episodes cuz Brendon Small didn't have a voice set for them cuz he wasn't sure how he wanted them to sound. and their names were switched because it never actually says who is who. its up to them. and they're so enamored with each other they switch their names to compliment the other.
I've always found this show to be really uncomfortable. Funny as hell, but it makes me squirm.
