I just happened to see this on a search for Batten Disease. How cool is Elna!? I love this! My brother is walking across the US right now to raise $ and awareness for Batten Disease everywhere. I'm going to show him this. :)

Batten disease is a rare, fatal autosomal recessive neurodegenerative disorder that begins in childhood.

Children with the disease go blind and the disease robs them of everything they have, children with the disease will be lucky to reach 12 years of age.

I actually went to elementary school with Ryan. He was in the Boy Scouts, he acted in school plays, he sings, and he even got to meet Billy Joel in person. Ryan's a great guy and I wish him all the best of luck.
