Race a gtr and the w427. That would be interesting although the gtr will still probably come out on top just because of power to weight ratio. Point is tho, like was said a while ago, both skylines and holdens r very different cars. Most commodores are built for practicality therefore a stock one is definately going to be slower. Skylines were built for tracks. Most of them drift cars. Most conmodres r quarter mile monsters. Just depeds how u build car. Both have pros and cons.

In the end its all about how much money you put into the car, that being said though if you take it to the extreme, the majority of top fuelers, which are the fastest non-jet engine cars in the world run supercharged small blocks and they are pumping out 8 to 9 thousand horsepower or there abouts no one knows for sure coz they cant be dyno'd. The most ive ever seen out of a turbo'd inline 6 is 3 thousand. So really with all the money in the world a v8 will win hands down.

Now, im running a NA 3.8L V6 Commo. The only drags I've lost in this fella is to 2 different 5.7L V8 HSVs and once to a EVO10.
I previously owned a V6 3.8L Commodore and I admit it had good "off the mark" acceleration (ONLY IN THE DRY) but it NEVER stood a chance against any R32, R33, S14 or S15 and beleive me mate I have tried time and time again.
I now after solid savings am proud to say I own an R34 GTR and no donk has even had a chance.

The dropkicks driving them put LEDs underneath and give it custom body kit and number plates and they're all saying "Look at all mah killawasps man! Woaaah!" Instead, I put in my own custom straight pipe catback, custom cool air-intake (more or less max flow considering engine bay dimensions) and got a hiflow maf sensor... Plus, the prev owner drove it like a grandma.

Nice run mate. Do yourself a favour and get rid of the profec E-01. They have got to be the biggest heap a crap controller on the market.
Its tiny solenoid could maintain correct boost at over 14psi, boost curve looked like a roller coaster. I then 'upgraded' to and older Profec-B dal stage and its the best thing I've ever done.
Even at over 21psi, the boost curve looks like a table top. Just a piece of friendly advice......oh yeah, the cops love defecting them when they're on your dash too.

A rolling start of about 1100 or 1200 rpm isn't an advantage with a car with as much turbo lag as mine lol....notice the commodore started gaining until the turbos kicked in.....learn a bit more before you go shooting your mouth off buddy.

most of my friends have commodore v8, most of them gen3 n hsv's(most with mafless tunes). when we race i pull out my 4wd fuse so im running 2wd. and the funny thing is instead of leaving them for dead i just wheel spin past them instead. the only one that has been close was a superchargered r8. of n i have a r32 gtr with minor mods. (stock motor) with just bolt one. and this goes for forads to not just holdens. but if u got a nice car it dont matter what it is :) i like all cars

Its tiny solenoid could maintain correct boost at over 14psi, boost curve looked like a roller coaster. I then 'upgraded' to and older Profec-B dal stage and its the best thing I've ever done.
Even at over 21psi, the boost curve looks like a table top. Just a piece of friendly advice......oh yeah, the cops love defecting them when they're on your dash too.

Cheers. I'll look into doing that, it's been off the road for a few months but charged the battery last night and back today lol. Needs a few things to get her back up to par though. Sitting on about 20psi currently but I'm suspecting that the back turbo might be a bit dodge, it's not getting any where near that.

If they are stock turbo's I'd be very reluctant to run them on anything over 16psi as they've been known to fail.

mate the fastest na v6 in austalia was v6 vengeance owned by street commodores mag, ran 14.4 with no nos fully worked motor, stroker kit, bored better ecu injectors, everything they could possibly do,still slower than a stock gtr, late 13s dont try to bullshit people who actually know about cars

A rolling start of about 1100 or 1200 rpm isn't an advantage with a car with as much turbo lag as mine lol....notice the commodore started gaining until the turbos kicked in.....learn a bit more before you go shooting your mouth off buddy.

The Commodore has a N/A V8 & rwd, of course the GTR is gonna be quicker of the mark & around corners. Its funny how you think the GTR is so much superior to the Holden, why not try versing cars similar to the GTR, not that there are many. Go up against a Audi RS4 & see how good the GTR is. Fact is if GTR was to go RWD or lose even one of its turbos, then youse wouldnt be talking as much crap as youse all are now. "Wow, my 4WD twin-turbo can give a RWD N/A V8 a run for its money". mate i have a r34 gtt which IS single turbo and IS rwd and i can tear away from 5 litres and stay right next to 5.7 litre ss's only mods is a exhaust and intercooler

most of my friends have commodore v8, most of them gen3 n hsv's(most with mafless tunes). when we race i pull out my 4wd fuse so im running 2wd. and the funny thing is instead of leaving them for dead i just wheel spin past them instead. the only one that has been close was a superchargered r8. of n i have a r32 gtr with minor mods. (stock motor) with just bolt one. and this goes for forads to not just holdens. but if u got a nice car it dont matter what it is :) i like all cars

Maybe you should do some research on a word before you start slinging it around, a ricer is someone who does mods to their car to make it more aesthetically pleasing i.e. make them look better as opposed to mods that make the car perform better.
