Lol, i've been watching some of your vids (started with the 'how to ride a motorcycle' cuz i wanted to learn basics. Turns out you're a genius!!! Thx for the vids, awesome job.
way old and I dont know if its covered cause I dont care enough to read comments. Harley riders do 2 fingers (and so do others) because it is "2 to the ground" just like the wheels of the bike.
Under that logic I think stunters that do wheelies in traffic retract one finger, you can decide which one, since they only have one wheel on the ground.
Haha, imagine what the people in the cars would think if they saw you randomly motioning your hands and twitching your head, not knowing what the context was
Love the Hello Kitty wave. I have a lo-rider cruiser, leather baggage etc and I always give a Harley wave to scooters and Vespas. They never wave back, I think it freaks them out.
I was a biker (still consider myself one, I just dont have a bike atm lol) for the past three years, I had a Honda CBF 125 but now Im at uni and i dotn need it I sold it.
anyway I used to do those hand signals like a flick of the wrist or I just used to nod. cant wait to get a proper bike after uni.
What about supermotard riders ? I fancy myself a sportbike rider, and I absolutely adore them (Hate harleys though, I think they look silly, make way to much noise and are slow), but in Norway (I'm 17) you can't drive anything above 50cc before you are 18. Unless you get a special drivers license so you can get a 125cc. Which I'm doing next year, and I'm getting a KTM 125cc supoermotard. What group am I part of ? And also, in Norway the "scooter people" is a "group" as well, where no one wave.
Motorbike riders in UK don't wave to scooter riders. Most scooter riders are kids and majority of them ignores traffic laws thus give motorcycle riders bad names.
i drive a 50cc scooter and im only 16 and i have only been riding for about 6 months and all the bikers nod at me and i was like wtf i dont no u lol but about a month ago i was talking to a person hu has been riding for a while and he told me and i was like oooh lol i never nodded back but now i do lol
I have a scooter, and I have ridden past a few sport bikers, and they have tilted their heads towards me. I thought they were laughing at me because I have to ride at 30mph (It's restricted). So I used to give them dirty looks, now I know they were saying hello. OOOPS! LOL
@DipDop99 lmao! i always nod at all riders, its all the scooter an moped riders that just ignore me or stare at me like i said something horrible to them!
well at least i understand its cause 'you don't understand' XD
I ride a scooter and wave to pretty much all riders and it is rarely returned. Today, though, I waved to a guy on a sport bike and he shook his head "no" at me. That was a new one.
I ride a vespa, so I get the doggy look when I wave, you know tilt to one side, then to the other, kinda the way my dog looks at me when I yell at him.
We wave in Norway. But all I have is a Yamaha TZR 50cc for the moment, as I'm only 16. Even if I have tricked it out a bit, and it does 110 kph, I'm not considered a real motorcycle guy so nobody waves at me. But for 125cc and up everybody waves at each other. I'm getting a 125cc next year so hopefully I'll experience some of the motorcycle community. And just as a side note, 50cc guys never wave at each other unless they know each other.
Dont race a pickup truck in an f-1 event, and dont use an F-1 car to bring in the hay. And please, stop buying harley's in place of penis extensions. Im a fellow harley rider, and Im telling you- the phoney attitude only makes you look like a jackass, not a badass. Rocket riders, I think you already know where you fail: no-helmet-wheelie-in-the-dark-cross-lanes-at-130mph-in-traffic. Sorry, Im sick of corperate sellout campaigns that make me part of a clique they created to sell bikes. I am me
I've got a ninja 250r, and I've been riding for a long while now.
I don't upgrade it, I don't need to.
I like the style, I like the feel of riding, and I think it's cool - and if it's really the corporations that made me think it's cool, I honestly don't mind. It's fun, and if they found a way to market fun, props to them, someone did their job right and should pat themselves on the back.
Never done a wheelie either, all of my friends spent a good 700$ on gear alone. It's chill
I love ALL motorcycles. Im 6'4" and 240lbs, so a rocket isnt always my first choice, but I think we are all the same- we love motorcycles. Ive built/owned hondas&kawis&now a harley. Ive ridden rockets and cuisers. In my opinion, if someones personality sucks, it was that way before the harley. Rich, smug harley riders will look at my 1200sporty and say "kinda small, isnt it" Seriously, if its not one thing, its another. Its a personality flaw, not an ownership clique. Fuck em, they dont belong
I ride a Harley and i wave at everyone even scooters. I dont normally do that "cool guy harley wave" with your hand super low. I just do whatever comes to mind really. If i dont notice a bike until the last second and they wave i usually wave high up like im waving to a person. I hate when bikers dont wave back though. I mean i guess people arent looking sometimes. But recently iv had people look at me as they pass me (While im waving) and just keep on going, kind of rude.
Why Cant I post to your channel? Im from Winnipeg and your Vlogs have inspired my own ( Crappy ones) A lot of nods out here and were frownd upon by the harley crowds. I always wave even to scooters. I dont care. Its fun and two wheels. Love the videos keep them up. HOw did that tour go? You everdo it? I remember you trying to sell DVDS...
@mmaslade He's done at least two tours now. The first went great. The second was soured by crashes resulting mostly in vehicle damage but pretty good overall. He's sold a few of Private Channel series and I think one's still for sell for 10 or 13 bucks (a work-in-progress with more videos added over time).

@ExperienceTheReality Get a GoPro HD Hero. They're small enough that they won't obstruct your view if you put one on your chin bar inside your visor. I believe ashf00t uses velcro to keep hers from coming off.
I just started riding again and even here USA they do this I have an old 85 honda elite and they wave at me I usually will not wave since I am not all too skilled and really must pay attntion to insure I don't have an incident. I am a former trucker I have seen my share of guts on the road so I tend to drive when I am on the bike.
Hi, I'm too lazy to read the other comments where I'm certain the answer is already. Where are you in this video? Why are you there? Lol at the YEAH YEAH part. Check out my vids if you have a minute, some cool angles.. might give u some ideas. Peace.
Harley riders give us the one finger salute coz our bikes function better cost less and most importantly we dont feel the need to dress up like we are from the village people. fucking harley riders, they think they are bad ass while while infact they are mostly likely accountants and lawyers. They need to chill and lay off watching sons of anarchy.
LMFAO "i'd keep both hands on the handlebars for certain....." *takes corner* *points to the current corner he's on* "on this corner... because you'd be stupid if you took your hands off on this corner"
In England we nod at one another all the time. Waving isn't really the norm but I've had it a few times. Usually you'll get on the odd cunt on a Harley who completely blanks you but ever other biker nods 99% of the time.
I remember being a learner, passing a group of bikers who nodded. Holy mother of fuck...
I think we nod more in Australia because we drive on the left side of the road. It's difficult to drop a low hand or two fingers to greet someone going past you on your right side.
sadly, the UK vertical nod has become a side nod much like that of a poodle (dog). This reflects the general drop in the standard of UK education (in order to support the monarchy) that has also caused people to fail under stand what "Call My Bluff" means (now called "Would I lie to you" aka "Wood Eye Lie To You".

The "2-finger down low" wave actually means, "keep the rubber on the road". The 2 fingers representing the 2 wheels, and the hand position the direction you should try to keep them.
I'm a hand down low wave type, but what the hell kind of camera set up do you have? That camera looked like it was directly in line with your eye? Cheers.
I was at a McDonalds, and I saw a kid on his bicycle riding by with his friends and did your M13 custom hand signal to somone, hit a bump or somthing, and COMPLETELY ate shit! lol,,, i realllyyyy wish I had a camera at the time. Thats would definatly be a worthy video to put on youtube lmao
Love your vlog, but dis'in on the HD riders...tisk tisk! I've been riding both cruisers and sport bikes for 25 years. When I'm riding my Harley I get fewer waves from sport bikes than waves from HD riders when I'm on my Ninja. Not sure why the animosity, and frankly I don't care. I just ride what I want, when I want and respect others for making their choice.
I'm from N. Ireland and mostly we nod. I stick a leg out only to indicate to the rider behind that there is a hazard on the road respective to the side of the bike what leg I stick out. I wave the odd time or stick a thumb up if I like their style and or vehicle. I currently live in Spain where other bike users don't even give an acknowledgement, but that in my opinion is due to the simple fact that the Spanish respect nothing.
Here in the Uk we all nod, few wave. The exception of course is BMW riders just like thier cage driving counterparts they seem to think themselves above everyone else. If you pass someone on thier bike many stick a leg out., more respectful.
hmmmm, how do biker in great britain wave each other?? hand of gas is stupid or do they have modified bikes with the gas on the left side?? mordeth please help...
hi guys, in france we all wave ( bmw , harley , ...) except scooters and very small bikes.young ppl aren t like us , they do not wave most of times because they don t think they re driving a bike.
Well, generally yes, in Germany we all wave to each other. Except BMW Gs riders. They are as stubborn as the 4 wheeled BMW can drivers, who also think they can do, or not do, as they please :)
We nod in Australia. Except the Sunday morning Harley Riders, who don't do shit except ride to the cafe, get a latte then potter home and bang their hot wives.... damnit, they win.
@jigmesam I ride all week, so I nod to other riders, but I do like to sit in Balmain cafes dressed in full leathers before I go out on my Sunday ride, it's as close as I come to riding a Duke.
So, what happens when everyone starts driving motorcycles? Shall we wave constantly? I'm new to biking and wondered why everyone and their cousin was waving at me lol. Thanks for the info.
in some country like thailand, we kinda dont put hands out to the side cuz many motorcycle rider, when they put their hand out to the left that means they gonna turn to the left. it is to make sure that any vehicle behind knows that u r gonna turn.
Fuck the Harleys. I ride a gsxr 600 and I waved at a Harley the other day and didn't get shit back. From now on I'm just waving at my bros on sportbikes
"Please don't kill me, I'm Canadian!" LOOOOL!!

MrSovetski 7 months ago
LOL I luv you man!
genrevo 7 months ago

Cheers.

Have fun and be safe!

If you pass someone on thier bike many stick a leg out., more respectful.

yangkx 9 months ago
Well, generally yes, in Germany we all wave to each other. Except BMW Gs riders. They are as stubborn as the 4 wheeled BMW can drivers, who also think they can do, or not do, as they please :)
MrLefthooker 9 months ago
if you pass them im the same way you dont wave... if you wave then it looks like a goodbye/wave, F%&$ you/wave, im faster than you/wave... LOL XD

In England we just nod... If you nods down its a hello, if he nods up he thinks your bike is shit...
There are few Harleys cos the cant cope with our tight roads. Again the Harley boys dont wave or do shit cos they are anti social...

in some country like thailand, we kinda dont put hands out to the side cuz many motorcycle rider, when they put their hand out to the left that means they gonna turn to the left. it is to make sure that any vehicle behind knows that u r gonna turn.
