@snigglesthedestroyer Reckon they've been under orders to take whatever steps necessary not to be boxed in on heavy traffic. That would make them a target for ambush or roadside bombs.

When you're in danger of being shot or blown up, road traffic etiquette becomes a secondary priority.

I see that the Aircraft carriers are a big topic here...

Just to clear this up, Australia currently has 2 Aircraft carriers, 1 is very old and is being decomissioned and the other has the capibility of carrying F35b Fighter jets and another type of jet, i'm not too sure, i've forgotten.

Sorry but australia hasent had an aircraft carrier since HMAS Melbourne was decommissioned . We have 2 kanimbla class amphibious landing ship, We are building 2 Canberra class amphibious landing ships which have helicopter landing capability but wont be able to have fixed wing aircraft due to lack of radar needed for this.

i really want to fly the new F-35's we are getting but we only getting 15 of them for combat so there is a real low chance and they prob want pilots with 100% in every thing which i dont think i have so the F/A-18 super hornet will do

the navy is getting 2 spanish built aircraft carriers they have capabiltys for helicopters and vertical taking of and landing planes like harriers thats what i know if their going to buy harriers or something else i dont know maybe they can use aircraft with short take of distance their is images of what were geting on the net
