Wow! Never seen wing tails in that position, they seem to act like speed brakes!

I flew the MD10-10 into SJC two days ago. We normally use a MD10-10 or MD10-30 for SJC. (the -30 is a better plane, and can carry a lot more freight. Kind of a baby MD11.)

Love those GE90s. They are like the only engine I can hear and identify immediately.

Also helps identifying planes (somewhat).

@MusicLover11325 Those are actually PW4000s. GE CF6s have "spiky" ends.

@TheBreakdanzkat Oh, Didn't notice that. Because it's really hard to tell the difference between the GEs and PWs on the 747s unless you look @ the fan, sound and the cone otherwise it's really similar

@HaterComedyChannel I was at long term parking, near the control tower. Just popped my trunk and stood on the back of my bumper to get some height over the fence. :-)

@chazflyz aah i was on east taylor heading over to my spot next to airport blvd when it flew over me. got a vid of it in the car. i should've left a little earlier :( if only i was there like 5 minutes earlier i wouldve got the perfect video!!

really? I thought I see them quite often. They are usually there around 11 a.m-2p.m on thursdays and tuesdays.

@ie210 As of the past 5-6 months, FedEx has been flying the MD-11 every few Sunday evenings. They have been flying the DC-10(MD-10) and A306 during the week.
