for the cost of a deck, you can buy a cheap car and get out of your parents basement. i've played since 93'.  But when I shelled out $1,000 and the deck was useless 2 months later.... I knew it was time to leave.

Along with your reasoning, MTG lost its lustre when it became clear the "professional" Magic players (its not a profession, get a real job) never pay for their cards, just getting them from their sycophants.

@Nyzzeh If you ever actually play legacy, you will find out that FoW is the great equalizer when you are staring down a turn one loss to a Goblin Charbelcher deck before you have even dropped a land. Force definitely levels the field against extremely broken combos.
