@ricocasekfan They both had similar tonal qualities in their voices, so good chance they're harmonizing together. Sounds a bit like Ric in the background.
TY Slance1... The Cars were my first favorite band. I still have Candy O on 8 track and it still works. I bought it in 1978 when I was 18 years old....Again.
@BigTruckAA - on Eight Track?? Wow - you must take very good care of your stuff? 8-tracks were doomed to fail and most did as they unraveled in the case. Anything on a loop like that (VHS), makes me wonder why we never learned our lessons.
God Bless Benjamin Orr and may he rest in peace. It's wonderful to see how this ensemble of musicians can become so deeply connected and harmonic here in their genuine and awesome tribute to the late and great Charles Hardin Holley A.K.A Buddy Holly a true original.
I loved both there voices. Seen them live in concert in Milwaukee back in 1982. And to this day that one is forever burned in my mind. And i didn't even need drugs to do it. "Forever loving the Cars" RIP Ben
Ric and Ben Met back in 1970, they got together with Greg Hawkes in 72, and formed a Band called Milkwood. Ric stated that Ben was His very best Friend, shortly after Ben Passed away. Ric Wrote all the Cars Tunes, but Ric said he was always unsure with his Singing voice, but always confident in Bens.
