Mary Poppins IS my childhood. Nothing could ever replace it. Julie was so amazing in this movie. I didn't even understand it, but when I was about 6, I had litterally memorized the movie. Julie is the best actress out there. She's so modest as well.

I feel bad for Dick van Dyke. Atleast back in the 60s, people weren't as perverted as now...you can't go to one Mary Poppins video without hearing "Julie Andrews Loves Dick!" or "Penis van Lesbian was terrific in this movie!" [I totally don't laugh]

This is absolute GOLD, I just love these two, they mimick eachother perfectly, even if their timing with the words is a little off ;) Julie Andrews is the most talented singer I've ever heard in my life. I think how she tries with all her might to contain her giggles at the beginning and then cant at the end is just adorable, on the 40th anniversary extras, the actress who plays Jane said that Julie did a lot of giggling during scenes throughout filming, and you can see it on the extras aswell.
