  • i think this film, the wizard of oz Oliver, the sound of music and the original willie wonka were the best musical films ever made...... i watched them all years and years ago on the big screen.. happy days...

  • BAHAHAHA JUST MADE MY DAY!!

  • Dang I wish all my favorite fictional couples were MARRIED! It's horrible, every time I see Dick or Julie in anything I'm always missing which ever of them is not there.

  • @MollyKoenigStarGleek Same here, my friend.

  • not necessarily a blooper here - an outtake is more like it;

they probably were directed to try one with the lyrics switched from her to him and visa versa.

it would have taken some pro concentration to not break (crack an inappropriate smile) during that and they are pros - who also know how to have fun.

  • man.... i almost ( giggle) held it all in until (snicker) mary poppins sang!!!!!

  • I almost wet myself watching this! XD

  • Where's the rest of the documentary?!

  • @andrewvickers1992 This is actually at the end of move VHS tapes of this movie.

  • Julie has the prettiest smile!

  • ahahahah... She´s trying not to laugh..i just love her :D :D :D

  • omg tht was sooo cute!!! <3 adore

  • This is a cute and funny video! Julie is just standing there at the beginning trying not to laugh.

  • you can't help not to laugh!!!!!

  • Julie Andrews is AMAZING!

she's surprised when suddenly Dick starts to sing her text, but she still manages to not burst out laughing and even sing his lines when she needs to.

I mean, seriously, she's the best actress(with the greatest voice) of ALL TIME

    this is seriously priceless:)

  • HAHAHAHAH

  • Gold!

  • hahaha she starts to sing and dick to julie looks sooo surprised!

  • lmfao ty that was great!

  • Mary Poppins IS my childhood. Nothing could ever replace it. Julie was so amazing in this movie. I didn't even understand it, but when I was about 6, I had litterally memorized the movie. Julie is the best actress out there. She's so modest as well.

I feel bad for Dick van Dyke. Atleast back in the 60s, people weren't as perverted as now...you can't go to one Mary Poppins video without hearing "Julie Andrews Loves Dick!" or "Penis van Lesbian was terrific in this movie!" [I totally don't laugh]

  • @ChrisFREAKINColfer I know right! outstanding movie. I also think The Wizard Of Oz also brightend my childhood. Both are fantastic movies and have great actors whats so ever :D

  • @Lisakudrow1963 yes! I would kill just to be her for a day!:D

  • This is absolute GOLD, I just love these two, they mimick eachother perfectly, even if their timing with the words is a little off ;) Julie Andrews is the most talented singer I've ever heard in my life. I think how she tries with all her might to contain her giggles at the beginning and then cant at the end is just adorable, on the 40th anniversary extras, the actress who plays Jane said that Julie did a lot of giggling during scenes throughout filming, and you can see it on the extras aswell.

  • this is too funny. c;

    Julie/Mary has a gorgeous smile.:D

  • @TheeParawhore I couldn't agree more she is too gorgeous :D

  • Ahahaha -33

  • Holy... They just dubbed each other! XD

  • GREAT MOVIE AND GREAT ACTORS! this was hilarious! LOL!

  • What a cracker!

  • Julie Andrews is so pretty here...and she has aged so gracefully too...

  • I love these classic movies:) and I am 14 year old I see the magic in these movies my children are going to watch this even if it ses ancient to them:)

  • haha that was a good outtake!

  • this is my favorite movie of all time!!!! i still have it on regular vhs and i still watch it :)

  • You can tell Julie Andrews loved Dick.

  • i burst out laughing XD

  • ^^

  • This was my absolute favorite when I was little, and still is.

  • lol

  • this was an out take because there lip are moving in time

  • I've been trying to find this on the DVD forever! I didn't even think about youtube... THANKS!

  • Julie Andrews is even stunning with dirt on her face.

  • @sergeantfan3 Too royt guv'ner..!

She's as 'ansom as an 'ansum carridge..1

  • I LOVE THIS

  • Aww that cute.

  • This is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

  • Awww this is incredible... two wonderful singers/dancers to ever grace the world of film. So funny :)

  • Lol

  • She has a pretty smile .

  • Oh, I wish the world still produced entertainment as brilliant as MP. The only good things in the entertainment world today are Glee (which is sweet) and acoustic Lady Gaga songs (she's actually quite good!)

  • Awww!! <3 :)

    Julie and Dick, too adorable!

  • <3

  • JULIE ANDREWS is a few of my favourite things...She's always makes me SMILE :)

  • 7 people have been raped by a chimney sweep.

  • @JulieAndrewsLover12 Me too. I'm only twenty three but I am way more into this kind of acting and music than today's stuff. I always felt I was born in the wrong time.

  • I'm 14 and I'm stuck in the 60's!

  • @DisneyBlackJet Same here my friend

  • @DisneyBlackJet Hey... late 1940's-1970's... great time to be alive!

  • I love how she can't keep a straight face.

  • Ok, that was simply hilarious!

  • Too bad dick van dyke can do shit with an accent.

  • Oh, wow, this is a great outtake. It's best when the actors have a good time backstage and are loose.

  • brilliant

  • I think this is creepy.

  • that made my day haha

  • :))) lmaooooo

  • This is priceless

  • Dick Van Dyke agreed to do Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in 1968, four years after this movie was made, on the condition that he NOT have to do an English accent, despite the movie being set in England and all of the other actors, including those playing his father and children, being English.

  • I adoooore her!!!! I admire her!!!! And him...his is so sympathetic! There a both so wonderful!!!

  • She's unfathomably hot.

  • @RevZman And unfathomably talented, too.

  • haha soo cute!

  • I am so lesbian for Julie! Please marry me? <3

  • she is sooooooooooo pretty.

  • Haha you can see Julie trying so hard not to laugh! (:

  • Absolutely ADORABLE!

  • Not a Blooper.... Mary Poppins was actually a pretty Transsexual!

  • The best actors are the ones the media never talks about. Here is two.

  • @mgman71 it would be troubling if the media still talked about them since 1964...

  • @scriblemaker agreed.

  • Comment removed

  • @mgman71 im pretty sure this is an add for TV

  • @whitewiddoww This is actually at the end of move VHS tapes of this movie.

  • awesomeness.. and he could be my grandfather now, but damn dick van dyke was handsome back then ;)

  • @RelinX I know! He was, wasn't he? There's something so adorable about him, like the boy next door - only better.

  • They are trying so hard not to laugh lol i love this

  • They definitly dont make em like this anymore!!!

  • Incredible, Julie And Dick are the "Best Friends" No???

  • OMG LMAO i love is face when he starts singing hahaha :)

  • Comment removed

  • those were great days when women could fly with their umbrela :D

  • lmao XD

  • she is even beautiful covered in soot

  • i saw the broadway show I loved it!!!

  • Never seen this - its brilliant!!!! :)

    HAHA! : )

  • I'd marry Julie Andrews in a heartbeat if I were my age and alive back then. I can count on my one hand how many women create a desire for marriage on one hand so that is saying a lot, she's absolutely amazing. All the Kardashian women put together don't have half the "stuff" that lady had in het prime.

  • When I first saw that when I was little on the video of Mary Poppins one of those after the feature things. I was like "how do they do that?!" Then I found out in live action musicals they record before they are on set. Then I thought "It all makes sense now."

  • i'm watching it over and over again. it's just so cool. they're hot.

  • what is thename of the voice over??? he is totally the announcer on the Monorail in Walt Disney World!

  • @jcliffo you mean dick van dyke?

  • @jeffdon4 nooooo the very first voice in this clip that says "this rare outtake..."

  • @jcliffo I kept wait for him to tell me to keep clear of the doors and that we would be underway momentarily.

  • :D lol

  • Julie lipsyncs better than him, i must say

  • even when julie is miming she does it flawlessly. love her.

  • hahahaha!

  • Love this! Can't stop watching! :D

  • They're both adorable.

  • rest his soul

  • @darklight436 He's not dead

  • @Tegel172 pahahahahahah

  • @Tegel172 "rest his soul" "He's not dead"

    LMAO

  • I'd much rather watch these two than Zac and Vanessa in High School Musical.

  • @EM100320 No competition. Im just thinking if they EVER do a remake which they probably will come on its a mega classic who will be Marry Poppins and Bert I mean I really feel there will be hard to find a pair as good as these two. These appeared on tv quite a few times after thos both had their own shows and movie succeses and it all started from this masterpiece if theres ever a remake it has to be well thought through.

High School Musical is far from this

  • @EM100320 Oh my God, YES! The whole High School Musical series is just frustratingly cheesy, Mary Poppins is classic childrens entertainment. It's timeless, and Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews will always be beloved to every single kid whose grown up with this movie [and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang].

  • i believe dick van dyke is known for being a prat so its nice to see he could lighten up some times too...julie andews is just lovely

  • seriously cant stop watching this...love.

  • this gets me every time i watch it. his face as he just slowly comes up to sing her part is hilarious.

  • all hail van dyke and andrews :)

  • Ohh! That is funny!

  • hahahahaha they're plainly having fun XD

  • haha!!!!

  • they try to take credit for funny animation like all the toy story movies they just helped financed them

  • any walt disney production of anything is all the want is money im a cartoon buff all thier cartoons are crap mickey mouse donald duck and all the rest are just plane not Funny

  • I wish mary poppins was my nanny [sobs]:' (. . . HaHa, BuT THiS iS HiLlaRiUs!

  • I've watched this like 20 times, and I still laugh every time!

  • I love what Bert looks like when he sings chim chim cherrie!

  • Hilarious!

  • so funny....

  • I was about to die laughing!

  • i see julie trying so hard not 2 laugh

  • i used to LOVE marry poppins as a child

  • U can tell that Julie is trying so hard not to laugh!! U gotta love her!!

  • @h2orocks2196 dick too

  • Una hermosa pelicula.... tremendamente recomendable

  • omg thats too cute! <3

  • lol

this was way back in the day when people could actually sing and act

    now a days, nope

  • such a good movie!!!!

    he is so handsome

  • I saw some guy drawing chalk pictures once when I was little and went straight up and asked him if I could go in. My mum was in hysterics

  • Andrews is beautiful here.

  • all i can feel is love...

  • Back when people could actually act!

    And sing!

    Now a days ugh...

  • They're around... they're just ignored. :(

  • @oneofnines Oh yeah great acting! Van Dyke's accent flies around the UK and Australia but never lands anywhere..I've heard more convincing estate agents!

  • @oneofnines Yeah, even I fail in comparison to all the classic actors out there.

  • ha ha

  • It is so great that they could do jokes like this while working on the set! When you watch all these extras and interviews...it really must have been great fun to do this picture!!

  • Does anyone know where this footage is from? :)

  • It's from the original movie (on VCR). I have the VCR (back from 1999) and this outtake is on there, along with a few other cool features. If you get the 45th Anniversary Edition on DVD there is some behind the scene outakes too.

  • It's on the 40th anniversary edition, too (at least the german one, I don't know about the others)

  • hhaha. i always wanted merry poppins to be my nanny!!!

  • Classic!

  • aww :]

  • Haha you can just see Julie trying so hard not to laugh!

  • Haha wow, they imitated each other's head movement and facial expressions perfectly. XD

  • What dorks. This is classic. <3

  • PBTH a delightful blooper from one of my most favorite childhood memories. Thanks for the upload!

  • I loved this movie when I first watched it back when I was a kid and I still do. A prime example of movies that just stick with you no matter what and no matter what, it will always leave you with a smile on your face.

  • LOVE It!

  • xDDDD

  • hahaha

  • She's so beautiful..Is she human?

  • i ask to my self the same question! she is so special!

  • @rosydonut No. She's practically perfect in every way! :)

  • @rosydonut No she isn't. She's an angel.

  • @rosydonut no she's a goddess no joke

  • @rosydonut nope. Angel.

  • @rosydonut Nope, definitely Martian!

  • hahahhhaaahahaahah love this movieee

  • Dick van Dyke and Julie Andrews nice couple in those days

  • I love that innocent smile.

when dick starts to sing instead of Julie,

where, julie actually supposed to sing. I think it's great.

I love this blooper. it is funny. I must laugh every time again.

even though I looked the more than twenty times, it remains funny.

  • omg that was amazing
