  • So when it lands...It does a self clean of my 300+ dollar camera lens with all naturals dirt???? Im sold

  • This video hasn't received enough of views.

  • Give me the sail plane version + altimeter. < $500

  • nice crossthread

  • The reason a company doesn't name a price is so they can keep prices fluid and make different deals with different clients. It's how most small companies work.

  • What is a rough price point for a system as pictured in the video ????

  • @darkergambit3129

I asked to my belgian neighbours where Gatewing is based....50.000 before tax

Hope santa is in a good mood.

  • @Gday2ya well that's actually cheaper than I expected. Over here they charge like 300k for a dragonflier.

  • @darkergambit3129 I guess you mean 30K... still us$ and depends on the package and which kind of camera attached, 30k is the startprice...50K for Gatewing is in euro's

It's all a bit over the top...it will costs some investments but still. Check Smartplanes.se or Sensefly.com...same same not different....it's like dragonfly comparing with a mikrokopter...suppose to be high-end and low-end but it does the same trick.

  • @Gday2ya

Oh I know it's a little overpriced for what it is. It's just that there is very little competition and they are probably trying to re-coup the insane cost of software development. I'm sure the plane was a joke to produce, but I assume the software was not.

  • @darkergambit3129 i'm european...300k is 300.000$ right? Before i wrote the comment i looked it up caus i wasn't sure...think we're on the same frequency though...i asked Draganflyer for a quote so (i thought) i had it all figured out. Except from some minor intelligent hardware and a $5 costing fuselage it's all in the software which looks very interesting. 10.000 euro's for Sensfly Swingletcam, excluding the software and cost you 2000 a year for using it...i'm gonna grap a beer..cheers!

  • @Gday2ya 300,000 --- three hundred thousand dollars for a system for a police department. It was a dragonflier Y-6 as I recall. This i know including a nice ground station suitcase type deal.

  • @darkergambit3129 I guess no one will answer you... therefore you have to make an inquiry... (I hate that... I don't understand why people don't list their prices on the internet...)

  • This is awesome!

  • In Google: Авиационный воздушно-десантный беспилотный боевой пуленепробивной дрон системы мониторинга.Airborne aerial unmanned bulletproof combat drone of monitoring system.

  • what is the difference between this system and SenseFly ?? the other system costs less than half !!!

  • At 2.33, the lens is totally busted....Pause the movie and take a look,

  • @nilocarlos2 And it looks like a relatively cheap camera too - probably one of the disposable components :(

  • @MantaAvoid Hi the lens is not busted, it's only a bit dirt. Why would Gatewing upload such promomaterial on the internet? Besides, Gatewing uses a lens filter to protect the camera. Moreover, all the "disposable" components are (1) high quality and have a high endurance, (2) the body is shock-resistant and returns the camera and autopilot in a safe manner back to "home". The only component that is disposable is the body, which is quite cheap. If you need more information: info@gatewing.com!

  • How does it takes elevation data? The only thing I saw is a camera, no altimeter or differential GPS were seeing. How do you correct the data?

    Regards

  • @gasato01 hi, you're welcome to send your information request to info@gatewing.com! Kind regards

  • I want one! I think there maybe some improvement to be made with the launcher but the concept and function is awesome!

  • Interesting. I like practical applications of civilian UAVs. The software is Enso Mosaic and the autopilot is Micropilot.

The launcher is kind of a complex, a bunge could have been enough - maybe.

What I don't like here is a lot of equipment to put in the mud - but the UAV is sleek.

I don't really believe you can process the data to its final stage in the field - this requires some serious computing power.

  • interesting orthoimage software :)

whether you need a ground control?

  • @widhibanuardhi hi, in the standard Gatewing X100 Image Acquisition Kit, there is a GCS included. For more information: info@gatewing.com!

  • very good

  • Do you have to cross-thread the VHF antenna for it to work properly?

  • @ogdenco Hehe :P

Nice UAV, how many times can you land before the camera lens is damaged?
