It's human nature for people to truly and fervently believe that "their day" was the good 'ole days and that everything after has gone to pot. When I was a kid in the 70's, my mom was utterly appalled when she saw my David Bowie "Pinups" album. As I got into my 30's in the 90's, my peers all sneered at grunge. It's just the way of things.

@demonhoopa I actually believe in that concept. I think, it's because you grew up on that time that specific time that makes you think you had the best childhood. But even though i'm aware of that phenomena, I really do stick by the fact that 90's kids had it all. (With technology just coming in, yet oldschool stuff still lingered) I think we had the best of both worlds, so to speak. I think we think our generations had it better because of a contrast effect along with some sentimental value.

I agree that you 90's kids had it all. I came of age in the 80's which is one of the worst musical decades of the modern era. But even then, we still had some gems (U2, REM, Guns n Roses, a lot of punk etc). My daughter just posted a Lady Gaga song on my facebook that blew my mind (you and I). My old fart peers need to get over it. She's uber talented.
