  • its off beat because skinny puppy uses torment and agony as a catalyst for thier music some is sad some is happy and then there's this

  • @simba7032 far from offbeat. the timing of upbeats, dropped beats and synchronized mixing makes this one of the very few good tool remixes. i would love to hear an original bootleg.

  • I don't like it...TOOL is too sacred to me! so yeah...you get a dislike!

  • Why is the intro offbeat??

  • they could play this in a disco, im sure people will dance to it....

  • This is not the original SP mix.

  • okay, first mistake, you fucked with nine inch nails, second mistake, you let me find out you fucked with tool.

i hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest your pubic area.

  • I gotta question for ya! How could you not like this!?

  • hell yeah i love good tool covers this is pretty good :]

  • This is the Malhavoc remix !

  • d. ogilvie remix?

  • Renholder remix?

  • this is sooooo cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool i love skinny puppy

  • Ok, yes they did massacre this song, but I like it. Don't be so prussian about it. It's just music.

  • remixing tool songs is an act of rape

  • @MrMegaHans sounds like u been remix before

  • @MrMegaHans I know I'm just pissing against the tide here but, Grow up dude....I'm sure Tool themselves respect the attempt. If it wasn't for people thinking outside the box, Tool wouldn't be where they are. you can always change the channel. I dont this is even that good, really. it probably isnt even SP.

  • @bryantaber wow man, you really dont have to argue on youtube, theres not much of a point to it

  • @MrMegaHans LOL!! Yeah you are right, Thats what happens when the coffe kicks in i guess.

  • Ok NIN sounds like a strung out heroin addict begging for a voice....Skinny Puppy remixed with Tool is the closest thing to industrial I have heard in a while (ok then there is Rammstein--in a class of their own) Now back to this mix...I want it ...full and clean...now where do I get-buy-own a good copy of it?

  • this is not not rare and this is the skinny puppy version and i think they rape the song imo.

  • @richdanks It's rare because the remix was buried by the band till it was leaked to some Arizonian Radio Station.

  • it is remixed by skinny puppy this song is old as fuck where the fuck have you been been if you only posted a year ago? lol i mean thats only 09 this shit has been out ages ago.. get over it trolls STFU already everyone and just listen to it

  • 13 People hit the dislike button because of the shit quality probly the 78 that didnt are deaf

  • The quality is that of donkey puke.

  • sounds like cevin all by himself

  • How many shitty sounding versions of this mix are on Utube? This isn't a SKINNY PUPPY remix. It is Dave Rave Ogilvie and me, Jimi LaMort. We also did that remix of Shout at the Devil for MOTLEY CRUE and some unreleased remixes for MONSTER MAGNET. We did these remixes together the same time we were working together on MALHAVOC records. It was indeed good times. I can tell you the exact gear we used if u care to hear.

  • @JimiLaMort Where can I get a cleaned up version of this mix?

  • I like this but I want a better quality version of it NOW.

  • uggg!! if only this was in good quality somewhere on youtube!! rawrrr...

  • LoL - using my daughters account here but.... I was in the room when this remix was recorded - at Signal to Noise Studios in Toronto ON. - This is a remix of Tool - Stinkfist - engineered and recorded by Dave "Rave" Oglvie (Skinny Puppy, Tear Garden, Jakalope etc..) and James Cavaluzzo (Malhavoc) - This was a VERY rough draft.. the end version kicked a WHOLE bunch of ass.

  • @devilgirl858 i rather not believe that

  • @devilgirl858 Thanks for the info man what happened to the finished product?

  • @devilgirl858 Where is this "end version" then sir? :P

Do you have access to it ??

  • @devilgirl858 : Partly true. This person must have heard me and Rave listening to this mix while we were working at S2N in Toronto recording the MALHAVOC album THE LAZARUS COMPLEX, as we went directly from remixing this to doing the MALHAVOC album. This remix was done in Vancouver though.

  • @devilgirl858 : i also meant to say that isn't the rough draft. The beginning and the end is cut off, but other then that this is the mix sounding like shit.

  • horrible

  • This is so bitchin.

  • Your comments suck and so what who cares what you think condescending pieces of pulp.

  • never really got in to nine inch nails but i see where your coming from both equally talented in different ways, ithink it wud be mint to mix this in to a dubstep tune or something aswell.

  • you guys realize that even skinny puppy makes garbage. most bands do. they throw that crap away very well knowing it sucks and move towards another idea. music can be one step forward three back before you get anything worth putting on an album.

it's part of the creative process.

  • I hate this, it sounds like a dance mix or something.

  • @tyshan4 Man, I would go clubbing every night if they'd play music like this.

  • I don't really like this remix, but love the original Tool song.

And as for NIN, I guess it's just subjective because I would love to have a time machine and watch NIN during the Downward Spiral tour... Pretty Hate Machine is my fave NIN album still, but I like every one since then, although they are all different and some songs take a few listens to really appreciate. Trent's still writing amazing songs, so to see them in 1990, 2000 or 2010 would rule

  • i agree that the album version has a more direct and precise power to it, but you have to appreciate this, because without experimenting with this the ideas that created the aenima version would never have formed and we'd be with out it. and its just so fuckin' cool!!!

  • i have a pretty good system as far as i like music and comparatively the bass etc is a little weak even with an equalizer and bass boosted, i just thought this was meant to sound more industrial (or call it whatever you want) intentionally distorted/fuzzy... i think reznor/puscifer are just new outlets of style... not necessarily bad just not at all what we're used to/expecting... i donno politics in music like this sucks to me, but to each their own...

  • @eyeonthetv,...dude, just listen to this on a better system, it actually has amazing bass, AND snare. trust me ;).

  • Badass!!!! They ought to re-master or re-record this track. The lack of bass in this disappointing. I have not been able to find a high-quality version of this song.

  • green jelly black jelly shut up you 2 faggets just rock out !

  • tool were better when they were green jelly

  • LOL how can u even say that comparing green jelly cant even compare to tools greatness

  • Trent and Maynard are equals in my eyes. Maynard's lyrics are definitely better by volume and is my favorite vocalist of all time but you have to admitt that Trent broke a shitload of barriers with what he did - drum solo from Perfect Drug all the way to the end of the song - gave me just as many goosebumps as any APC/Tool song.

  • the best tool remix in my opinions all other remixes are shitty

  • This is most likely not Skinny Puppy. Probably just labeled that to get more people to downlod it by whoever actually made it.

  • @DronusProductions this isnt definately SP everyone who knows them would find it hard to believe they would make such a lame mix, and specialy from such a great song... not even Ckey and Ogre with a really bad trip would make such a murder of a song

  • Comment removed

  • @DronusProductions It was Oglvie, newb

  • @DronusProductions no it really is skinny puppy. the demo tapes were burned by tool but somehow they got leaked on the net.

  • @DronusProductions Actually it's by Dave Ogilive of Skinny Puppy fame. It's answered at the tool FAQ Question D7 to be exact.

  • @DronusProductions

    It´s real...

Tools drummer also plays on one of the songs on SP´s "Greater Wrong Of The Right" CD..

  • @DronusProductions This is really old and I believe it was remixed by Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy.

  • @DronusProductions well the actual one and this version are only 5 seconds in difference. it might be a remix of skinny puppy's version

  • If you're dumb enough to not appreciate NIN then you don't deserve to listen to Tool and vice versa.

  • People will appreciate what they will. We can do nothing to change that except create something exceptional enough that someday people will have the same argument about what we have made.

  • Please don't compare Tool to NIN. NIN is fucking terrible. Trents voice sounds so fucking emo and his lyrics sound like a 13 year old girl wrote them.

  • Trent is god thank you very much.

  • i hear ya man.

  • Get out of here Tool and NIN Both are amazing!!!!

  • @avengednroses17 God, I love how all Tool fans like pretty much all the same bands as me, makes me feel more like us Tool fans are more connected taste wise..

  • @M1105X That's a simple phenomenon due to the fact that Tool fans by default have good taste in music

  • @avengednroses17 couldnt agree with you more

  • @avengednroses17 more of a TOOL fan than NIN but i agree

  • u cant argue nin is better than tool or tool better then nin. there both awsum.

  • @DarkMountainWolf and their strengths are so very very different.

  • its sounds like poor quality

  • I've had this song for ten years, this is the best quality copy available.. I'm still not sure it's Skinny Puppy, But it's good nonetheless

  • Actually THIS IS Industiral, i just prefer another style.

my mistkae. PS- This IS my style. Ppls makes mistakes you retrarded brittish ppls >.> lol...

  • whats wrong with brits? ya wanker

  • bagels are good, but only with cream cheese.

  • Agreed.

  • sounds more like rave music haha

  • Satan likes to lick balls of hairy men

  • Everyone shut the hell up. Tool is amazing, NIN is amazing, and you suck.

  • Americans and Brits are retards.

  • So awesome. I normally don't cum just from listening to music. This is one of those rare occasions. -=)

  • stop re using humeur jokes, get original get moving, like skinny puppy wanted u too...

  • Sorry but you can not fix something that is not broken. Leave Stinkfist alone, and the rest of Tools songs aswell. but nice try

  • When listening to the same song over and over again, it's nice to hear different versions of it. This only sucks because the quality isn't that good.

  • SP is shit because off that retard

  • STFUP RETARDED BRITS THIS IS AWESOME FU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! commenters=brits=shit.

  • This is not skinny puppy. This is a poser remix by a dickless wonder.

  • 1: Your swearing=retard

    2:yuor=retard

3: Dont care who made it its awesome, your the dickless woman, gay LOL mental freak, dumb brits

  • I agree about the sound quality, but can't help but actually enjoy the remix. Maybe if the sound was just a bit better...Still, I like it.

  • sound quality isn't that good. volume is nice in the beginning, degrades, gets a bit skitchy in the middle....

love the mix, this particular file though imo sucks.

  • Too perfect of a song to remix and expect to be better. But Its not bad. And Tool happen to be one of the best bands in history in my humble opinion. In truth. So are skinny puppy.. haha

  • ditto

  • right on

  • can dance to it

  • acid music

  • Tool is a life changing experience. The day you dig, is the day that you realize that everything you know might not be completely what you think it is.

In my opinion, the best. That's all there is to it. The best.

  • what you're speaking of has nothing to do with Tool...if you are a fan of their music you can use their music to help you along your travels. Maybe give your mind something to toy with while you make choices and decide what's right for you...they are called Tool for a reason....i don't think the reason is to tell you how to live but to inspire you to decide that for yourself.

  • no they are called tool as in the tools required for sexual intercourse

  • pwned :D

  • poonard's right actually, unless you're being sarcastic then its a different case.

  • well it's a bit of both maynard or adam said it (sorry can't remember which one) but they were being sarcastic anyway so yeah but hey it could be true who know's with tool like seriously look at this song everyone argues about what it's about so i guess that's it with tool they can be what ever you want them to be

  • Don't know where you heard that, but Poonard's right about their name. They discussed it's meaning in an interview.

  • the day you dig is the day you realize you don't know anything!

  • the day you dig is the day you realize you don't really know anything...have you ever really "dug" into yourself?!

  • this probably isn't a skinny puppy remix....

  • crazy sick with it

  • Why the hell was Nine Inch Nails added as a tag?

Why do people always associate NIN with these two bands?

    God.

  • I've been a SP fan for longer that I will admit. I saw Tool when the only one egging him on was his mom. I thought they would NEVER mix. WOW!!! I love this song.

  • haha i bet you didn't say that xD. I bet, when he asked if you wanted to see the NIN shirts you said "No thankyou" and then told people you said "What the fuck? Why would I?"....

only a complete prick with a tiny penis would say that to a guy selling shirts xD.

  • I have no respect for people willing to ask stupid questions.

One time at Hot Topic after being rushed by stupid people to ask me if I love NIN, I ask if they had razor blades for sell. if so, what kind.

  • Honestly, Tool and NIN did alot of work together and the two bands are rather close. However, Tool is by far greater then NIN. As well as for people, Tool is by far the greatest band ever. Obviously people are fans, not only to tool but to music in general, Therefore, Let them mix there shit.

  • There is an argument to be made with that statement because if you say Tool is better you could argue they are better on their instruments but then you could argue what Nine Inch Nails lacks in terms of basic rock instruments they make up for and beat Tool in use of electronics and play instruments like the theremin and such better then Tool. For those reasons I feel the two bands are tied for the greatest I've ever heard.

  • amen to that!

  • no there not, coz tool use their instruments in a "rock" way just as good as any one else, just listen to the undertow album, but also they use them in ways never heard of b4......................ok i am very biast to tool iof you could guess =P

  • How you could even compare the 2 blows my mind. Listen to Down In It then listen to Stinkfist.

im sorry but there is no comparison Tool is greater. Trents Lyrics and voice are fucking horrid.

  • Trent Reznor is god, but Tool is awesome to.

  • your a fucking TOOL. down in it was recorded in 1989 when trent was a janitor at a recording studio and his boss let him use the equipment when he wasn't working... you cant expect it to be awesome...

  • trents old stuff from the late 80's and 90's was awesome but hes went downhill now, is newer stuff is pretty bad, so many people think that year zero album is grand, its nothing that hasnt been done before with music and lyrics, its a pretty shitty album all in all

  • yeah, theres a couple good new songs but not much

  • I wasn't super keen on year zero, however I did like a lot of the remixes. The Slip is an awesome cd however.

  • @hellchild65 wrong, I would have to say that you are wrong. His music is always progressing and changing just as we grow and change. Just as our tastes change, if you have seen live nails, he is just as good as the downward spiral tour. It is strange that you would say it is year zero is a shitty album. Do you even listen to it?

  • a few songs, are ok, but thats about it, and ive seen em live 6 times, i enjoy the live shows still(saw em back in 09 in PA), but saying hes as good as he was live back in the 90's is stupid, id definatly rather take a time machine and go back to 95 and see em live with bowie again, NOTHING beats that, also the energy trent had back then was more since he was younger, no arguement there. also im sure most people would like to see the artists they like in there early 30's rather then mid 40's.

  • its not the progression of music i dont like, i like many artists i did when i was younger, i just think the direction trent has taken these past 3-4 years has been shitty for the most part and not just in music but in lyrics as well, hes good at writting the personal shit, hell excellent at it, not being political. leave politics to bands like Ministry or Manson, not NIN

  • Comment removed

  • skinny puppy and Tool, who woulda thunk it?works so well though. Both bands are so deep and great, and trippy, lol

  • and i'll...keep...digging...until i...feel...something!

  • both tool and skinny puppy are amazing

  • killed it

  • Dave Rave Ogilvie has band called jackalope.

The guy is really good, he has some pretty sick remixes he did 4 NIN.

  • This is likes the same song, withs parts mixed ups.

this is my fav. song from TOOL and Skinny Puppy is known to be the greatest band in history of industrial

  • tool n skinny puppy, fucking stellar! :)

  • That's the thing, I don't want to see remixes from either on each others work, I want to see a joint collaboration.

  • hey Aphextwin i suggest you QQ more!

    <3 this song

  • This means a lot coming from "aphextein".

  • Tool don't suck, they are a great band and have fans all over the world.

Just becouse you don't like their music doesn't mean that noone else does and the band sucks.

It's not that your oppinion is decisive, or means anything more than anyone elses.

And btw, why do ppl watch movies on youtube if they don't even like the band?

  • the same reason we look at a car crash.

  • You speak. But nothing comes out of your mouth but garbage.

Each song completely different from the next and far from any one elses, The poetic lyrics and complex tabs, and yet still fits in with the album that it came with.

Like them. Hate them. They are the most creative band that I have ever heard, and deserves much respect.

..And one should not talk shit about something he could not even begin to comprehend.

  • noone likes tool... you either LOVE them or hate them. hehehe

  • It appears I stand corrected!

  • @futureiommi6969 actually, i just like them. =\

  • @malfeam you should be ashamed of yourself. ahaha

  • one of the most intelligent statments that I have heard spoken on the subject of tool. Props to u fellow fan!

  • why thank you :)

  • WTF MAN your a fucking fagget the only reason i listen to them is because 1 song doesnt sound the same to the next you fucking fagget go suck dick there the best band

  • doesn't matter if its your kind of music or not. try and keep some of those time signatures. fornicate yourself with a pole of sharpened rebar. have a beautiful day sunshine.

  • aphextwwin is a whore

  • HAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!!!!!! Good one.

  • you must be from virginia dude cause virginia has 1 fucking tool fan that ive ran across, and for that im glad im leaving soon...

  • All the verions of this ive heard have been like this one, really bad sound quality. I would have to hear a much clearer version of it before I could honestly comment on it.

  • wow, i actually totally hated that.

gonna need to listen to the real stinkfist a dozen times to unhear that.

  • As I previously said: "This is not a Puppy remix, but a Dave 'Rave' Ogilvie dub."

This is an old file that has been circulating shared over the internet and incorrectly labeled in the process.

Just because Dave has produced for SP, he shouldn't be credited for their name as such. Like many of his versions; Dave has produced and remixed for the likes of Manson, Tool, NIN, Maynard, and others too.

So this doesn't mean these mixes are credited to the bands, but by 'Dave "Rave" Ogilvie' instead.

  • That is correct. People need to get there shit straight before posting.

  • its not bad its debatable on which version is better

  • Where did you get this? Is there a chance you could send me this file or something?

  • good remix but, if you like this more than the original then you should go buy all skinny puppy albums for that band is for you!

  • I love this. I just wish I could find a better quality version

  • This is pretty sweet. Mix together my two favorite bands. It would be great for the club scene.

  • awsome dance mix shud be played on radio

  • brilliant.

  • Still prefer the original, but I really like this industrial remix above all other remixes! Great!
