I have to say something to all of you who haven't seen her in concert; you have no idea. When I went to see her, she was 3 hours late, sang four songs, and sand them badly. I loved her, but after that experience, I couldn't care less about her. And this "totured artist" is nonsense. When someone actually pays to come and see you perform, the LEAST you could do is get your act together, and perhaps apologise? She didn't.

She's a tortured genius of a soul. She allegedly got into a cult in 98 and couldn't deal with the idea of selling out/compromising her artistic values. I applaud that integrity and zeal, but I wish we could all see her more at her peak artistic form with all the support from radio and the bus. Whatevs, Miseducation is my favorite album ever behind Chariot by Gavin DeGraw. "Lauryn is only human" and we love you for it.

saw her in Dubai. Not meaning to be be critical, but she SUCKED! worst concert ever! First she was 2.5 hours late, did not say she was sorry for F'ing up, then could not sing. Maybe she can't actually sing? Maybe another Milli Vanilli thing?

I may always agree with Kelis, but she's very effective in expressing herself different from the mainstream. Sorry, but Lauren is not! And another rule: Never deviate after your first album! Get a couple of albums like "Miseducation" under your belt, and then after you've paid dues, you can deviate. I'm sure that second album negatively affected a LOT of people at Columbia.
