Somehow, this seems to be the 'show of scot-free insult' - Waldorf and Statler never flouted any guest star like this, Danny Kaye spites Piggy like this 'in public', Floyd and Janice are getting away with heckling their colleagues... Only Jim Henson, Frank Oz and their crew can do something like this on a 'serious, witty entertainment programme'!
You're so right - I have just come from watching his first movie ' Up in Arms' over 65 years ago - and he was just an amazing entertainer right through the years - so glad others still appreciate him.
thru the years he never lost character and everything was beautifully perfected. i love the scene with miss piggy, they look wonderful together. and so funny how they fought. just priceless to see such an act. what a lovely man.
