  • Thank you for posting this, Brings back so many great memories of attending their concerts. R.I.P. Danny - 2009 (lead singer).

  • The place near Duncanville was "The Cedar Canyon Club"

  • The drummer hit the High Hat magnificently, Brilliant Interview

  • The lead singer of Southwest FOB is young Dan Seals at age 20, who died from cancer complications this week (1948-2009). RIP, Dan.

  • Bass line at the start of the song is a strong nod to The Beatles' "Ticket To Ride", don'tcha think?

  • I was just goofing around and thought what the heck and see what I could find regarding this group. I to use to see them back in the middle 60's and I recall this was a huge hit for them. I saw them as I recall from Duncanville or somewhere like that at a former airplane hanger where a bunch of us teenagers used to watch bands play. I heard the band went to California and started playing religious songs. Maybe some one could verify that.

  • Actually Southwest F.O.B. broke up. The lead singer and guitar player became "England Dan & John Ford Coley" Then Dan went on to have a Country carrer as Dan Seals............. By the way... Dans brother is the Seals of "Seals & Kroft".

  • Zeke and Ovid (and I think Doc) get together every now and again and play/record some still.

Speaking of Z, he still plays in the Dallas area, and some of the bands he's in (Joy Urchins, Cheap Fast & Easy) play a cover of smell of incense live oftentimes.

  • ENGLAND DAN 3/25/09 R I P
