The ANZAC's fought under the British Union Jack when a soldier was buried if they were available where they were they would be buried with the union jack on their coffin, and the Australians recognized themselves with the Red Ensign flag instead of the common blue one we use.
The Australian flag we know today wasn't made our official national flag until 1954

Australia is not actually truly free from GB, and it's not because of the flag, or constitution. It's because since 1692 Britian's economy has been under control by a group of very wealth individuals that own the Bank of England. Yes it is a private corporation, and that has not changed. Our central bank, the RBA, would still be a branch of the Bank of England because we never broke free by war (like America) it was just done on paper. So you can bet that these banksters kept their control here.

Um, not to really get involved, coz i dont care about australia changeing it's flag or anything, but, the Colonial rebels beat the British only due to the intervention of the Dutch French and Spanish. Also to note, this sparked the end of the 1st empire, the second rose from these ashes, to become the worlds largest empire. Btw, I've lived & worked over there for a yr. My dad was born there aswell, so I've got citizenship. I'm trying to change this country for the better.
