Sadly, it was her brother and Alexander Schmorell that wrote most of the material, and put in most of the work; but it's Sophie that is remembered more. I don't think being a woman is enough to be granted more credit than she deserves, but that's how our society works I guess.

@daFattylover It's not because she's a woman, it's because of her attitude during these interrogations and her process. She was the last who confessed of the arrested and tried to take all the guilt to herself to protect her brother, the others and Christoph Probst, who was a father. It's right, Sophie made lowest effort in the white rose, but she didn't even try to pretend to be innocent or not involved when she was arrested, but was willing to die. I admire her. Btw: I'm german.

@daFattylover I think because she had such a limited inputted and yet still was executed is the reason why her story is so strong from her and the words she speaks will highlight The White Rose so that its never forgotten, all that were in the movement are to be remembered. Even though people see her part being small in the story in hindsight it was bigger then anything for what she said to the judge and to the policeman for she has made people think.

This is a great movie. Impressive and excellently played and directed. However, I do not think that the nazis wasted the time to talk to her or leat her speak up her ideas. I think that all behaved like the judge who convicted all of them without letting them say anything.

I watched the movie about 4 years ago... SO moving, touching and sad!!!

I cried at the end, when she was executed. It was really heart breaking.

I still ask myself how come the German people, majority of them followed a monster like Hitler and supported the nazis. It's unbelievable.

Ich habe den Film bei den „Deutschen Kulturtagen in der Ukraine“ geguckt. Ich erinnere mich daran, dass ich nach der Filmvorführung gezittert habe... Warum? Weil das kein Film war… Das war das LEBEN.

Man soll das betonen, dass die Weltgeschichte das Leben war/ist. Nicht von irgendwelchen abstrakten Leuten, aber von den realen Leuten. Es gibt keine abstrakten Leute.

---Das Wertvolle ist in kleiner Menge, aber das zählt sehr viel…
