I graduated from a music conservatory...women DO NOT have falsetto...they have chest and head voice, and whistle (if they can sing that high). She is mixing both...and I tell you she probably won't get vocal nodes because of it, which is good...
What are you talking about? People who didn't do all that music stuff refer to falsetto and head voice as the same and that women DO have! What women don't have is what me call a mix. And all she is using here is full voice. Sometimes she softens the note for muscial quality... that doesn't mean she mixed falsetto with full voice.
Our range extends from the lowest note we can hit to the very highest note we can hit. Most people can't transition from high to low smoothly that is why especially in gospel you always hear the transition from full voice to falsetto.
Crystal already has a unique voice to begin with. She doesn't sound like everyone else. Her ability to blend both falsetto and full voice works to her advantage thus causing confusion of whether she is singing falsetto or not. No disrespect for real...but with a good ear you would be able to hear which way she is singing...which is both falsetto and full voice. Her blend is crazy, thats why it is hard to tell without a good ear. Be Blessed!
Crystal is able to blend BOTH her FALSETTO and full voice when she sings. Women do have a falsetto. Tell a a 2nd alto to hit a 1st Soprano note in full voice....she can't...she will have to falsetto unless her full voice range is crazy!!!
Just for your info...women do not have falsetto...only men do...what you hear is her using head voice. From a technical standpoint she is great because she is blending her different ranges smoothly.

I'm with you. Too much falsetto. I don't see how others don't hear the falsetto. Everything is not black and white. Some men sing soprano and some women sing tenor. According to classical music, that's impossible. But we all know it happens. So once again, Crystal Rucker sings falsetto...regardless of what the rule books of singing say. This is 100% falsetto.

Yall OH MY GOODNES<She could falesetto too.YALL EVERYTIME GWEN sang. You would just stand in awe of the way the Lord used her.
Her ministry would really set the atmosphere for the Word to come forth The praise and the worship were the ingredients(eggs,butter, flavor, flour, vanilla extract) Gwen's ministrering made the cake rise and the Word was the icing on the cake.
Gwen had the use of BOTH full and falsetto tones, God rest her soul. What an anointed vocalist she was. I know she is giving the Psalmist David a run for his money up in Glory.
