Catahoulas are bay dogs, they find and control the hogs in order to let the catch dog grab hold while we come up from behind and throw the pig down to either put it down or tie it up for a few weeks in the pen. Boars are nasty tasting so they are turned into Barr hogs before being turned loose in a pen.
