I'd never heard The Smiths before I got into this band and started looking for similar stuff, and people were saying they sound like the Smiths, well personally I think they sound nothing alike, plus The Organ is so much better.

@whatsthebigfukindeal i think there is a definite influence of johnny marr's guitars on deborah cohen, and the general style is similar between the two bands, but at their core, the 2 are quite different. the smiths are absolutely classic, and it is tragic that the organ couldnt at least put out a few more albums, because i think they were heading down that road too..... there are few bands i can listen to over and over without getting bored of their music, and the organ is one of those few.
