When oh when is NASA going to start converting to Electric Universe theory. The unusual markings on Mercurys surface shown are expected on the surface of a body orbiting so close to its parent star with such a high eccentricity. Those markings are most likely the result of spark erosion on the surface of the planet. The eccentricity of the orbit will continually be oscillating the planets core electrical charge wrt plasma double layer of the planets magnetosphere.
@arthur6279 Google plasmacosmology as a starting point. Thunderbolts is also good. I dont subscribe to all the conjectures there but its always useful to keep an open mind to new ideas . Especially when the old guard of cosmologists have so many patches in their theories they really are ridiculously off the mark. Electric currents in space could very well be the driving force behind Stella and planetary dynamics. Gravity is 40 orders of magnitude weaker.
@TheEruditepolymath I did. The site I found didn't appear to be very authoritative. Planetary features being formed by space lightening seems highly unlikely to me. As for the other stuff I read, it seemed pretty straight forward in terms of the specific phenomena but I'm still unsure of what they're saying the theory tells us about the universe.
@arthur6279 Plasma cosmology ultimately denies Hubble's interpretation of red shift and from there they deny the Big Bang itself. To them the Universe is eternal. Lerner, Arp, and Alfven are the notables if interested.
Solar winds must be brutal :(

Washington Irving's "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" was written about Tarrytown, NY, not someplace in Europe.

Probably the result of EDM or Electrical Discharge Machining.
As the story says, "And MESSENGER is showing that, up to now, we've been completely wrong about this little world in so many ways!"
They'll remain completely wrong until they begin to take electricity into account.

@pixelspring
I've never heard of the Electric Universe Theory, care to give a Cliff's notes?

@arthur6279 Look for "The Electric Universe Pt 1-4." It's a great primer vid. For more info, Google Thunderbolts(dot)info.
