Getting Model OX is actually referablly easy. Fight Omega, then go to the room with the two gameboy doors. A mysterious rock should be there. talk to the scientist guy in the Guardian HQ and he'll turn it into a biometal if you leave the room and go back in.

If you haven't already, try using WASD to move rather than those crappy arrow keys, and instead use the arrow keys as buttons. It feels a lot more natural because, like on a video game controller, the left side I used for movement and the right is for other buttons.
