The song's name is "Big Heart",it's the first track on the album "Live in Tokyo.Big Heart"(1986),different version is also on the album "Live in Berlin,vol.2"(1991)
wow, I saw them at Circus Krone in München at about that time. Lurie was walking through the audience playing his sax and sat down just next two us smoking - it was like a private concert with only a bunch of people. Thanks
Don't think this is 1989 -- Calvin was in the band later, like after 92 or 93. The tune is Big Heart, from 1989, but this version is later -- sorry if that's been pointed out already.
This actually was in 1989 - Brandon Ross replaced Marc Ribot, Calvin Dougie Bowne and Al McDowell Eric Sanko. Promoted "Voice of Chunk" with that tour.
Thanks for posting this, its been a long time since that, but so nice to see it still exists somewhere.I played percussion with the Lizards back in that era, when I left Billy Martin replaced me.Thank You.
Man, these guys are so frigging New York. Definately give that period of the 80's "fusion" a good name - if that's possible. And you gotta love that monster sonor kit.

Just discovered them via backtracking the excellent music on Backyardigans kids TV show (Comp / arr Evan Lurie). Isn't it nice when you fall in love.

Man, G. Calvin is young in this. Does anyone know if there are any videos out there of when Billy Martin was the percussionist?

Its fine stuff...but where did the Lounge Lizards go?
It has been a while since their last work.
I dont know if you know anything about that....
I remeber putting Live at Berlin everyday when I was sixteen (I am now 21)...It still cannot stop hearing the records...hope to see them live someday
