@BlackGwarDeath666 Well SLAM is a term used to describe a very slow, brutal chugging riff that has a lot of groove in it. It's basically a death metal "breakdown". Check out bands like Putrid Pile, Visceral Disgorge, Guttural Secrete, Begging For Incest, Defeated Sanity and Devourment and you'll see what I'm talking about. Bands like Suffocation (inventor of the Slam Riff) or Dying Fetus use them as well but not as much to really consider them SLAM death metal.

I hate listing band genres, an unfortunate necessary evil, but Dying Fetus is a brutal slam death metal band. Technicality and groovy slams.
