  • Although you fly mostly with United, what is you're favorite business class product?

  • @carlvincent12 Probably Swiss. That has for me, been my best experience.

  • Possibly the best business class seat being offered today. Easily one of the widest as well.

  • @brinpol Thank you!

  • @sfflyer123 lol I just saw above that you preferred Swiss...is that for the overall experience? It seems the SQ BC seat is a little better...

  • @brinpol the Swiss seat is way better than the SQ seat. The SQ seat, frankly, sucks. It is hard and short, and it reclines very little. It is basically a bed, or it's a hard chair. The width doesn't make up for it unless you are morbidly obese. It's quite an uncomfortable chair. The Swiss seat is just awesome: compeltely lie flat, comfortable, and tons of room. It is a much better product than SQ business class.

  • Nice!

  • @aaronrodgers77 Thank you!

  • What is book the cook on singapore airlines?

  • @zm093 It just means that you can pre-order a special meal before the flight.

  • Nice videos like always, you should do one with Virgin Atlantic toHong Kong :)

  • @XDswizzyXD Thanks very much. Unfortunately, Virgin doesn't fly SFO-Hong Kong. I would like to try Cathay first class one day, but I don't think that will happen any time soon!

  • Excellent. Between you and Homer, two excellent producers of airline videos. Thanks. Food service and plane condition a bit disappointing for Singapore Airlines reputation. Looks like Emirates has taken the lead for sure...

  • @radbcc Thank you very much for your kind words. Yes, I've never flown Emirates, but they certainly have an awesome looking product. I'd like to try it one day!

  • @radbcc Well, you really can't say that. It's in a matter of the plane's age and etc. In all due respect, they are equal in my opinion.

  • Your videos are great. Happy new year from EU

  • @tkeeffect Thank you very much for your comment!

  • I'm from Singapore! So proud to be a Singaporean ^^

  • @YummYakitori Fantastic! thank you for the comment. I have never been to Singapore, but I hope to one day!

  • @sfflyer123 You are one lucky guy my friend. I've seen all your videos and they are amazing! I want to become a pilot and fly the 777! And i'm turning 16 in 5 months. Maybe i'll enjoy what you enjoyed. haha :D hello from New Jersey!

  • Do you do anything but on an airplane?

No wonder half the people in industrialized countries are overweight.

  • @gledalac1979 Yes, we eat until we are stuffed. Then we eat some more!

  • the crackers arent strange there water thins! the best kind with cheese!

  • @trentos10 Yes, but they only gave us 2! We needed around 10 to have enough with the cheese. Also, I'm not a cheese connoisseur, so I don't usually have the fancy crackers!

  • Also, I have a question, ate you in San Francisco now, or are you in some awesome country, as usual!?

  • @mjk0123456789 I am about to get on a plane!

  • My friends from Switzerland say that when the fly Swiss, they crew is very nice and the food is great and even in economy, but Lufthansa has the number one economy to me!

  • @mjk0123456789 Yes, I think Swiss and LH are very close. I believe LH now owns Swiss, also.

  • What are your top 3 favorite airlines? For me:

    1: Lufthansa

    2: Austrian

    3: KLM

I've never flown united, but it looks nice!

  • @mjk0123456789 Very nice! I would have to agree that of all the airlines I have flown, LH would be #1, especially its first class. It is quite amazing. 2nd, for me would be Singapore airlines. 3rd would probably be Swiss. I heard Emirates and Qatar are great, but I have never flown them.

  • Love sia

  • @crazomonkey Thanks.

  • Thanks again for another cool video. I am very disappointed that on the outbound flight you only received two crackers and they were pre-packaged. I prefer the UAL cheese cart, with the crackers put out on a plate and served with tongs. The details count.

Like those evening departures from Asia -- leave at night, "fly through the day," and basically land before you departed.

  • @thumbun Thanks for your comment. Yeah, two crackers was a little cheap, wasn't it? Yeah, the time zone change is great when flying from Asia. Thanks.

  • These are really great videos! Thanks for posting. Incredible how often you travel. That must be really exausting.

  • @MNero05 Thank you very much. Travel can be very exhausting, no question about that. I really think that travel can be fun, but when you do too much, it becomes less fun. Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • @biorgymd Why did you remove your comment? It was a nice question?

  • @sfflyer123 I posted it twice by mistake. See same comment addressed to you below.

  • @biorgymd I have never flown Korean airlines, but I have seen trip reports about it. It looks great, especially with the good Korean food!

  • Am A Pilot For Singapore Airlines A330-300 and everything looks the same but the cabin is fitted with new layouts

  • @planetechno2 Thanks for your comment. Which cabin is fitted with new layouts? The B777 or the A330?

  • @planetechno2 the A330 sir

  • No desert? ;)

  • @brinpol I did have dessert! I had the cheese course for the flight out, and then I had the ice cream for the return.

  • Very nice video. I love Singapore Airlines........

  • @jww94597 Thanks for your nice words!

  • OMGGGG THE FOOD LOOKS SOOOO GOOD FOR THE SECOND MEAL!!!!

  • @flylikeacg Thanks for your nice comment!

  • @sfflyer123 no problem! you deserve it! It was a great and very high detailed video. I fly with SQ but never with Business. I actually go on the same flight (SQ1) a lot! :)

  • @EpicityTech I have some good things about SQ economy also. I was going to fly it one day, but I had to cancel. Then, a few years later, because of work, I was able to fly in SQ business (I cannot afford to pay such fares), and I was very excited. But even before, I was very excited to fly SQ economy!

  • Awesome

  • @EpicityTech Thank you so much!

  • is it the bed soft.....

  • @emoteroalagano it's not super soft, but it's not bad.

  • @sfflyer123 ah ok thanks. how many hours from hkg- sfo.

  • @emoteroalagano it's only about 11 hours hong kong to SFO, but it's 14 hours sfo-hong kong because of the jetsttream.

  • so would you recommend Singapore airlines

  • @jman036 Definitely. It's very nice!

  • how u find the seats??

  • @lee92289154 Surprisingly pretty uncomfortable to sit in. They're excellent to sleep in, but they are not nice to sit in at all. They are quite hard, and the seat is very small (but very wide). It does not recline much at all. It's a great bed, but a very hard seat.

  • nice video! but why singapore airlines isn't flying to singapore?

  • @sahiblindberg They do. They just stop in HOng Kong for a stopover!

  • Cool. Well taken

  • @praveenkmohanram Thank you!

  • very good narration of the video..shuld have shown ur face pal.....cheers..!!!

  • @BenZino8448 Thanks. Perhaps one day, I"ll show my face!

  • Hey how was the turbulence on the plane because the water on your table looked it was shaking alot

  • @zuke234561 Yes, the turbulence was quite severe over the water! Good pick up!

  • I'm hungry now, damn you! jk

  • @XxMetalGorxX Lol! Thanks.

  • @XxMetalGorxX Lol! Thanks.

  • I have been on this exact flight on SIngaproe AIrliens SQ 1, except that it was during a different day and the landing happened a bit earlier.

  • @MegaAirplanelover Excellent. Do you think it was because of daylight savings and season? Thanks for the comment.

  • Comment removed

  • @maxRAFavfc Yes, I believe so. That's why the stop in Hong Kong; I don't think the plane can make it all the way (or it could be to make more money off the SFO-HKG route). I believe they fly non-stop Singapore to LA though.

  • is there any food on an airplane you went on and recorded thats not ok, good, delicious or super delicious? i really hate airplane food, i dont know if its bcuz i eat the economy food or if my pallette is all jacked up or bcuz im really prone to getting sick on an airplane of something like that. i have to go on an 17 hour trip from vietnam to los angeles via taipei by myself, im only barley even 11! TnT and im really really prone to like puking when im hungry. o O

  • @Fantage90210 Yes, some of the old food on United has been horrible. However, I believe United has really changed their ways, so that it's much better now. Also, if you don't like airline food, be sure to bring your own on board.

  • What was that white gelatin item on the plate with the Dim Sum?

  • @bajabenca It is har gao. That is a shrimp dumpling.

  • @sfflyer123 Okay, thanks. Still wouldn't eat it, but thanks lol.

  • What do you do for a living that lets you do this?

  • @MrGermany18 Consulting!

  • @sfflyer123 haha sounds like you work for the mafia. Consulting for what? What company?

  • @MrGermany18 Independent! Even if I worked for one company, I certainly would not disclose that on the internet! Thanks.

  • @sfflyer123 Ok............................ not sure why your offended. Just wanted to see what kinda cool job you have that lets you travel like that, but I guess "Independant consultant" will have to do. Have a good one. Still love your videos.

  • @MrGermany18 Thanks. No worries. I am not offended at all. Many people try to get me to say which company I work for, but this is the internet, not a private conversation between friends. I hope you understand. Thanks.

  • @sfflyer123 Haha yeah i understand. Well nice work getting to where you are. I'm sure it took a lot of work.

  • Hey is this SFO-HKG-SFO?

  • @fsxb757 Yes, it is a round-trip flight!

  • you do realise that you could have flown the A380 on this route with a little more planning don't you? Who the hell flies on B777 these days? LOL

  • @LeeClaxton If only I had known, I would have done it! But they only fly B777 non-stop SFO-HKG. I could only take the non-stop for work, unfortunately. Also, this was October 2010. Which route does the A380 fly SQ to California?

  • @sfflyer123 Don't worry about it, he doesn't know what he's talking about. LAX-NRT was cancelled due to quake, and even then you'd have to cnx to HKG separately.

  • @bubbledoubletrouble Okay, thanks.

  • @LeeClaxton BS. First A380 flight out of SFO wasn't until May 2011, a full SEVEN MONTHS after the video was posted. And the only transpac A380 from California is LAX - SYD/MEL; all others go to Europe. LAX-NRT-SIN was cancelled b/c of quake. Thanks for playing.

  • i felt by watching your video i was there simply superb

  • @citizenofmysore Thank you very much for your kind words.

  • Thanks

  • wat website do u use to book your flights

  • @gadgetdude38 United mainly. Or the airlines' own website. Sometimes, I wil use Kayak, which I think is the best search engine out there, though.

  • The roaring engines sound like a music to my ears! Orgasmic!

  • @crazymorganable Thank you for the nice comment!

  • @crazymorganable same :)

  • that nudle soup looked delicious!

  • @syriz3 Thank you! yeah, it was pretty awesome. It is great snack food!

  • Great video man

  • @imafisher67 Thank you!

  • Thanks for a great video..., well put togeather from start to finish.

  • @wiicmario Thank you!

  • prefer the good old ilyushin62m from AIR KORYO

  • Another great video! Keep up the great work mate!

  • @EWS60008 Thank you for the kind words!

  • You guys from SFO to SIN SQ 1 (From SFO) and SQ 2 (To SFO) are pretty crowded. I only know about SQ 2. But going there you might want to consider from SFO - SEOUL- SIN (Seoul is pretty) Its SQ15 and its hecka good. 11 hours flying and when you get there its 6 hours to singapore. BUT THE BAD PART IS THAT YOU HAVE THE SUN EVERY TIME CAUSE OF THE JET LAG THING. BUT SIA IS GREAT AIRLINE.

  • @Redunkulous2324 Great point. I did not know about this. This is an excellent tip. Thanks.

  • I went to hong kong taking the SIN-HK route probably this was the HK-SFO SFO-HK route

  • @MrBram1920 Yes, you are correct. It is supposed to be SFO-SIN, but of course, they have to stop off in HKG. This makes this route very popular!!

  • @sfflyer123 Oh

  • Why is the flight number 1? Is it their most profitable route?

  • @simpsonstewie I am not sure. Maybe when they started this route, it was their first route to the USA?

  • U seems to b a rich guys,u fly most of the time n I seen all ur video,but I like SQ.service are good,y did I say tat cause I'm a Singaporean!!

  • @cheerfulboy01 Thank you! I wish I were a rich guy, but I am not! Unfortunately, I am just lucky. My company pays for business class tickets for me, and I use my miles to upgrade my personal trips. But I cannot afford to pay for business class myself. It is too expensive. But my company flies me in business class, so it is very nice. I am lucky, not rich (but I wish I were lucky and rich!). Thank you for the comment!

  • @sfflyer123 so this is a business trip

  • @wisnu1231 Yes!

  • i was in singapore, but my dad dicided to fly with thai airways, and Business Class is too expensive for me :(

  • @syriz3 the key is to get a job which will pay for your business class seats! thanks for the comment!

  • Hey :) great vid! SIA is the best! I fly it everywhere I go!

  • @mickynator1 Thank you!

  • I wish I could afford that. How much did it cost?

  • @airbusisawesome Than you for your comment. I am not sure entirely because I did not pay for it. My company paid for me to fly, so it was free for me!

  • where did you go in the next flight?

  • @wisnu1231 The next flight was Hong Kong back to SFO, return segment. Thanks.

  • wait, there are indonesian people, i can hear some people said indonesian language, what are they doing there?

  • wait, there are indonesian people, i can hear some people sid indonesian language, what are they doing there?

  • @wisnu1231 I assume that they are traveling just like everybody else!

  • what a pity SQ lounge is closed

  • what a pity?SQ lounge is closed

  • @wisnu1231 Yes, too bad. I heard they remodeled it, however, so that should be very nice.

  • Very very nice video dude ! Good job

  • @LadyAshe12 Thank you very much!

  • "good nut selection" haha good stuff dude

  • @kh2712 Thank you!

  • @sfflyer123 I am flying from ORD-FRA in May by Lufthansa and would you say their economy class service is good or bad and how is the airport in Frankfurt

    Thanks!!

  • @thatoneindianguy1 Economy class is very nice. You get a personal video player (unless you get a B747, which is an old screen). The airport at Frankfurt is very nice, however, it is massive. It can be very confusing, and it is a huge place, so make sure to ask for directions if you're lost!

  • Really nice vid!! Keep up the great work and do you fly around for business or just vacation I'm just wondering

  • @thatoneindianguy1Thanks. I fly mainly for business and only rarely for vacation. This trip to Hong Kong was for work, and it was paid for by my company, so it was a free trip for me. Vacation trips are more rare, but I try to upgrade with miles if possible! Thanks for the comment!

  • Great video! Thanks. I travel every year a lot with SIA and it's nice to watch your impressions!

  • @HorstBerbel Thank you! You are very lucky to fly Singapore airlines so often. It's a great product!

  • 1. Very well done.

    2. SAL is one of my fav airlines, but I was quite surprised to see the condition of the cabin.

  • @radbcc Thanks for the comment. Yes, I was surprised also. Guess age just happens to everything.

  • Realy nice to flights you had

  • @AppleFreak125 Thank you for the nice comment!

  • @sfflyer123 Your welcome

  • great vid!!! about those weird crackers, they're available here in australia's supermarkets and they're, like, this type of italian cracker that goes well with cheese. that is, if u can manange to put some cheese on without breaking the cracker...

  • @LunaticLucario Interesting. They are very crumbly, you are correct. Do you know what they're called?

  • wdingli. Thank you for your nice comment. I hope you have a good flight!

  • i am planning to visit my brother in Zurich ... i am tossing up between Singapore airlines or emirates. your video was a very good insight. I was disturbed at the worn seating seeing that you paid a lot of money flying business class... you should have expected better

  • Yeah regarding those engines, GE put one of them on a 747 testbed and they were eventually able to fly it with just that one GE engine.

  • @nubbie1944 That is amazing! I think 747's can fly with one engine anyway if they're at cruising altittude, right? Those GE engines are incredibly powerful. Do you know if a 747 could take off with just one of these engines?

  • @sfflyer123 Yes, a 747 could survive on one engine alone, provided the weight is light and this is actually a common simulator scenario. But the loss of three engines is so rare I can only think of two cases. Unfortunately as cool as it would be, I don't think one of those engines would be enough for a 747 to take off but it was enough for it to taxi.

  • @nubbie1944 Good point. Plus, the asymmetric thurst off one engine would probably be too difficult for the plane to take off properly. What are the two cases of 3 engine loss?

  • @sfflyer123 Interestingly both of the 3 engine loss stories I can remember both happened going to Tokyo. A Pan Am flight lost three engines as they approached Tokyo and they landed fine, don't know too much about the details on that one. The other one was a United 747 in the 80s that was going SFO to Tokyo and towards the end of the flight, the flight engineer realized he made a mistake on fuel consumption and so the completed the flight on just the #2 engine.

  • @nubbie1944 Very interesting! Thanks for those tidbits of information. It's always interesting to see how these things play out. Thanks.

  • Can't wait going to fly SQ on March =) looking forward to it! By the way nice vid=)

  • @isaactan123 Thank you for the comment, and have a nice trip!

  • Sometime I also fly Bussiness Class with SQ from Zurich to Singapore or to the US. I'm looking forward to the next flight.

    PS: very nice video.

  • @Etwmusa Thank you for the comment. I hope you enjoy it if you end up flying SQ.

  • AWeSOME video!!!!!!! im an economy class type of passenger, but when i go to far places like europe or america, my parents said i can go on business class!!! (i live in australia) but for now...

    JELOUSYJEALOUSYJEALOUSYJEALOUSYJEALOUSYJEALOUSYJEALOUSYJEALSOUEYJEALOUSY

  • @LunaticLucario Thank you for the nice words. I hope that when you do fly in business that you have a great trip and enjoy it! It is always so much fun and makes the experience of flying so much better. Thanks for your comments!

  • is the food free??

  • @TheNissan1st Yes, it is free. It usually is for international flights, even in economy class.

  • Great video! I have only travelled SQ once and they didn't really live up to all the hype I had heard. Bollinger and their new suites might make me consider them again though.
