your video looks good on a screen but in real life that sculpture cant look as truly amazing as the drawing for one simple reason: we see it in 3d, you'd see the beauty of this only from a certain distance at the right angle and it would work best if youre blind in one eye :)
@xilw3r True if the size of the real object (I remind everybody this is a REAL object, I have one in my living room), is important, for a small size like a 10cm object, the paralax is not great enough to make a difference.
Your angle of view does not affect the object geometry itself.
So even if it looks, in one angle of observation, like a 3 angled object, it does not actually mean, it is a 3 angled object. It means, that you are able to see only 3 angles, from your current position.
This object have a lot more angles than 3, so technically its not a triangle.
Technically this video is fake. Don't spend money for fakes, buy something real like food for hungry peoples.

I had an easier solution , you can make regular orthogonal columns with square cross sections and make on of them redundant. shorter than others and hollow (just a front) so it will appear at the front yet it is at the back. This type of illusion is known as prespective illusion since it is valid only in parallel view but is revealed in prespective.
@LittleBigPoet but do you know what a polygon is? Part of its definition is that it must be flat - that is, 2 dimensional. Amazing as this video is, and im sure that Belgium sculpture is as well, they are NOT polygons because they are NOT 2 dimensional.
(2nd part of comment) Now the top right is connecting to the bottom right with 2 types of ways in the same time. Its is going down on the picture, but just because of the part where is is connecting to the bottom right 2D shape people will think it is also 2D but maybe 3D and they might think its both.
in real life its impossible. You see that the left side of the triangle is facing up which is known as 3D. Now the bottom is facing flat then connecting with the top which is a part of the 3D shape and so the left and the top is 3D. But its impossible to connect 2 different Dimensional shapes when you have both on 1 shape.. But its easy to draw or create on computer. Look. The right part of the triangle looks like going down, well technicly, it is. (to read more see my second comment.)
Nothing is impossible, It just depends on your perspective. For example, I made one of these out of cardboard and took a photo, and from THAT ANGLE, it looked impossible, but if i changed the angle of the shot, you would see that it's just regular cardboard, with one of the pieces cut just right so that it looked as though it connected with another piece instead of how it really was.
