The first biggest reason of two that LoL got so much more players is because the game is much more casual and easier to get a hang on for new players. The second is that they had a MUCH MUCH smarter marketing strategy in the beginning. F2P vs 30$ (IIRC). Kinda obvious LoL got more fans. I dont love s2, but HoN is better.
