its a he...most females dont talk and you can tell if its a male or female by the blue color behind their eyes.

That is so cute! I just bought a parrotlett and it wont come anyway near me. It just bites me. How did you do that?

@jasonnlizfan , I had the same problem you are talking about. it takes time. mine use to want to bite me all the time. I let him out of his cage and let him run around. I would call out to him once in a while and see his reaction. really it is all about letting them come to you. after a while he would come around and he became comfortable with me. now he insists on being on my shoulder when I walk through the house. I was uncomfortable at first but he no longer bites my neck. you will do okay.
