This song has become my favorite Dinah song. The imagery is so bright it almost plays like a movie in your head. You're there. It's the first time you've experienced love at first sight. "lots of daffodils were showing off their skills ......." could be my favorite all time favorite line of any song.
I fell in love with this woman's voice years ago when I first heard her and Brook Benton sing "Baby, you've got what it takes." Been a fan ever since.
O M G a true classic and her voice is so great and this song is all felings. i can hear you whisper so R I P lady we will all miss that talent and joy you gave to us all
Magnificent Bass playing, by Keter Betts. After Dinah's passing away, he was Ella's, until 19996, when she, also, passed away. Knew and LOVED him, from the bottom of my heart!!! RIP, Keter............
Thank you so much for answering my question! I knew it had to be Marty Manning. I didn't know about Fred Norman though - I know he did other albums for her. who else do u like?
A beautiful Summer saturday night, that turned into a beautiful sunday morning. It is amazing how music takes you to days long gone by! Oh how I miss him. I guess I always will!
thanks for this beautiful video. I didn't know another great version of this song existed by the great Dinah Washington. I still love Nat's the best but Dinah gives it her style.
@other6people In my humble opinion and for my taste the two, back to back, different arrangements, tempo and so forth does not matter. What does matter are that they are both to me the best, equal in enjoyment. This version by Dinah and Nat King Cole’s are the two I have prefer to hear. I have heard this standard covered by the very best and I’ll take these two versions as my personal favorites. Different yet both are beautiful. Enough of analysis I just want to listen.

there is not a sassier voice to this song like Dianah. Yes. Nat has the male vocal but nothing can compete with the female voice of Dianah and this song. OFF THE CHAIN
Thank you for loading this, it's my favorite song, by one of my favorite singers. And would believe I had never heard Dinah sing this, what a wonderful surprise.....thank you.
Happened to be listening to this and thinking how great a celebration of love it is ... could Youtube have video of Dinah doing the song? Nice to be affirmed on the greatness of this. Thank you ame746, nice video work.
