Some road cars can do this! I knew someone whose pride and joy, a highly polished BMW 318 did it. The problem was a leaking inlet valve that caused a nasty backfire. The plastic box that carried the air metering paddle was blown to pieces. The box was carefully glued back together but it blew to pieces again. Head off and regrind the valves!

hahahaha dumbfuck rolled the throttle lmfao for all u who dont know what i mean ill explain.... ok so a top fuel engine runs on a fuel called nitro methane. it is like diesel fuel in the snece that only if it is misted it will catch on fire!!!! so the only way a engine like this can run on NM is if it is compressed... if u roll the throttle it lets to much fuel into the cylinder and then the spark plug ignites and well the video is ur main result... aka a piston blowing out the top of the block

@tylerwalker2 I have yet to see a piston come through an engine unless it's in tiny pieces. You could put a brick of C4 in a cylinder if you want and by the time you pack enough in there to blow a head off, the piston will be in vapor form. :D

Nitromethane is illegal to run in monster trucks, monster trucks run on methanol.

You can't restart a Nitro engine after you shut it off without changing the oil; and spark plugs, or it will explode.

Blower explosions happen when a flame from the engine gets past the intake valves, and lights off the fuel in the manifold. It has nothing to do with how the engine is built! That's why NHRA rules say you have to have blow off valves on the intake manifold if you run a blower
