  • I'm sure you have answered this before... But what camera do you use at the Disney runs?

  • @jnemeth08: I have used two different cameras in the past - a portable Canon Powershot SD1300 IS and a Canon HD Vixia HFM30. The Vixia is a little more cumbersome to carry but has much greater resolution. The Powershot trades off that greater resolution for versatility.

  • can you tell me the names of the songs you used..ive got the big time rush song to run too but id like to know the dig deep down song and who is it sung by...looking for some inspiration while i train to do the goofy challenge in 2015

  • @donnang79: The songs chosen for this video are in the order:

    * Breakthrough - Lemonade Mouth (Disney TV movie)

    * Dig Down Deeper - Zendaya (Pixie Hollow Games)

    * Halfway There (Big Time Rush)

    * So Far So Great (Theme Song from "Sonny With a Chance")

I find many of these Disney-related songs) bcause I have a 14-year-old and 8-year-old triplets that watch all these different mediums - we are a Disney family and it's nice to combine Disney music to the these Disney-related videos.

  • Lee!! Congratulations on your amazing though Goofy accomplishment!! I loved watching this video and all your prior ones. I met you last year at the Princess, and am in your video coming through the castle. Your videos were such an inspiration to me as I trained for my first half last year, and today, while I'm a little sad I couldn't be there again. Thank you for sharing these inspiring and fun videos with us.

  • @KathyM2014: Thanks so much for your wonderful comments. It's always a pleasure to help a fellow runner. I wish the very best and hope our paths cross somewhere on a race route in the future. Peace, Lee

  • Nice video! I enjoy the run. I will be running this race again in 2013.

  • Hey Lee,

My husband and I ran into you at the Floridian the evening after the marathon and we were celebrating our 13 year anniversary. We ran the relay....It was so awesome talking to you and to meet your family. We watched your videos from 2011 and they really inspired us for this run. We are both planning to run the full marathon in 2013, hope to see you there!

    Thank you for inspiring us.

P.S. we made our first video...please check it out.

  • @JODIDANKO: Thanks for the kind words - it was nice to meet you as well.

And nice job on your video - well done! And congratulations on your race(s)!

  • Stumble upon your video & OMG!!! I'm in it :) look around 8:23 going past Mickey Sorcerer Hat, orange shirt, black shorts & hat. Thank you so much for putting this together....great job!!!!!! This was my first Marathon & now I have something I can show my friends & family who couldn't make it to Fla. Thank you (((Big Hug)))

  • @mslynnsc: You are most welcome. It is for reasons like this that I put together these videos. Enjoy and I hope we end up at a Disney race again!

  • Awesome Job!! I just started training, doing the Royal Family 5K in a month, then the 10 mile Tower of Terror in September, then aiming for the Princess half marathon next year. Can you tell me the playlist that you used for this video. All the songs are great

  • @yulilin3: The playlist is as follows:

    - Breakthrough: Lemonade Mouth

    - Dig Down Deeper: Zendaya

    - Halfway There: Big Time Rush

    - So Far So Great: Demi Lovato

These are all Disney-produced and -promoted entertainers and songs.

  • Great video! I haven't done the marathon yet but I did do the half and my best friend and her mom did the goofy!....and me and my best friend made our first running video about the experience :)

  • Great recap of what was my 1st Walt Disney World Marathon. So inspired to sign up for the Goofy Challenge. I watched you videos for the previous years before I went this year. Thanks.

  • Thanks for posting this!! Great mix of clips and music! Ran my first marathon at Disney this year, and this brings back all the moments of this race and all the work I put in to make it happen.

  • Did you use a tripod or do you happen to have a very steady arm?

  • @zantafiocorp: Amazingly enough, I have a steady arm, no tripod. It is a process I picked up a couple of years ago and it seems to work. I actually stop where I plan to film while pulling out my vidcamera; I then take a deep breath and either try to slow my breathing or hold my breath during that 6-10 seconds of filming. After awhile it gets a little old and taxing, but it's worth it. By holding my breath or slowing it, it doesn't cause my chest to expand and cause a jerk in the camera.

  • Congrats to everyone!!! It was my 1st time running in Disney. I did the 5k and the full marathon. Thank God the weather was so nice the whole weekend too, it always helps!! Great video Lee, thanks again and congrats!!

  • I have to echo the same thing everyone else is, Lee; AWESOME!!! Mile 23 was my wall, but I flashed back to your videos, and got past it. Your video’s are a great motivator, Sir. Thank you for your time and effort. Watching this made my laugh, and appreciate all the effort. See you at the 2013 marathon.

  • @maysjake: You are most welcome - it was my pleasure! What a great time for everyone!

  • Thanks so much for sharing! What a great motivator. You captured all of the best parts. See you in 2013! Congratualtions!

  • Lee - you continue to do an outstanding job with your videos. I ran the full marathon this year (my first), and the half last year. I used your preview video to get an idea of the course, and it helped immensely. And now watching this brings back memories I'd already forgotten.

    Congrats on your Goofy achievement!

  • @TheMergz: Congratulations on your accomplishment! The first marathon you run is always a VERY memorable moment - enjoy the memories! And thanks for the kind words.

  • I just completed my first Goofy & it was the greatest experience of my life! We were even in the same corral =] Congratulations!

  • I've watched all of your disney marathon videos. Can't wait to run in 2013!

  • Thank you. I like this kind of recap better than others than only show the speedy ones and forget all the other people that put their best to finish the race. Congratulations!!

  • @canis1dementis: What I love about Disney is the openness to let the entire wave of humanity attempt their greatest feat: the finishing of 26.2 grueling miles. Just as in Life, we are all on the same journey: the finish line. As I state so many times to others, "The 'end result' in Life is ultimately to help each other get to the End." I will never lose sight of this mantra, which is why I post these videos. Thanks again!

  • Congrats Lee- hopefully I'll see you in 2013!
