Maybe I'm silly but I find it weird that people compare HURT to bands like Slipknot and Korn. Even their non acoustic stuff doesn't sound like Korn. Hurt has it's own sound and poetic lyrics. By contrast Slipknot's lyrics are just... well... ridiculous at times.

I agree completely, I like listening to both Korn and Slipknot but there music is nothing of the same.

Omg I'm glad I'm not the only one. It drives me crazy. How can one compare HURT to anyone?? They are on a level all their own. =D (not discriminating against those bands though ;) )

@akimthemean Hurt is my favorite band and while I agree that Corey (from slipknot) does have ridiculous lyrics at times, other times they are pretty amazing as well. I definitely like Hurt more for numerous reasons, but Corey Taylor from Slipknot is a very talented dude.

@akimthemean if you look at hurts songs they have meanins that you cant explain sometimes, they also had me influenced, and now have 3 i just made that have this much feeling. many people i showed hurt to fell in love with the band because it had feeling.

There are actually allready 4 CDs that hurt has put out that I am aware of, Vol 1, Vol 2, Blackmarket LP, and The Re-consumation. I havent heard anything about "Goodbye to the machine" but when It comes out I will add it to my collection for sure! Thanks for the heads up I'm gonna keep an eye out for it.

The violin is Haunting.That is all that can be said about it.Brings shivers across my skin when he does his solo at 1:48 and at 3:50 its just like holy hell did not see that coming. I love hurt and much respect for what they do in this day of hip hop and rockabilly

I saw them in Concert in 2006, He blew me away with his violin playing. Its so pretty. I damn near cried it was so wonderful

Yeah from what I can tell there are basically 4 versions of this song, The CD version. The Acoustic studio version, The ones ppl record at there concerts that basically sound like crap (like the other one I have). And this one I guess you would call live studio(no dubbing).
