I have a GP2 Hit Air and the tether does not deploy when I forget to remove the tether and try to dismount my Gold Wing. I hope to never need to test the Hit Air jacket. I am 50 years old and have been riding cycles since I was 16 and I have not dumped a bike. My friends say, "There are those who have had an accident and those that will have one" and that's why I bought this safety equipment. I wish you all a safe ride!
Neat idea, until you forget you're tethered to your bike and you go to get up off it and POOF you're a rather embarrassed dough boy. I like it though.
@ExecutionKing It has a strain relief so that is not an issue....Why does everyone think that it will deploy so easily? On every video regarding airbag jackets, there is always one who thinks it is an issue!
@tinyfilms not bashing it, I think its a great idea! I legit saw a guy over the weekend on a crotch rocket wearing something similar to this. I just figured it was like the saftey tether on a snowmobile, industrial mower, or a tredmill, where as soon as the cord is pulled from its housing it deploys...that's all I was making the joke about.
