DMT or whatever you want to call it, nature always finds a way to tie up loose ends. Call it what you want, but i know i'd rather move on then rot in darkness, but to each their own.
Anecdotal NDE is not evidence of an afterlife. One thing I can say though: If I had to share heaven with Bill O'Reilly I'd rather be in hell. I'm with Christopher Hitchens. I'm not someone who wishes that God exists. I think it would be terrible if he did.
When a person's life is flashing before their eyes and see heaven etc., their brain is making an effort to recall information in order to survive. The theory is that as they are dying the brain goes into overdrive recalling anything and everything that help. To take an account of the experience someone had dying and say there is an afterlife is wrong. Bottom line if you spend your life in a religion that worries about fanciful afterlives and such, chances are when you die those images appear.
@dawgpost90- You couldn't be MORE wrong. Maybe you should consider looking up stories of the people who were atheists and not Christian who died and then went to HELL and they didn't even believe in hell in the first place.
You are close-minded, stubborn asshole and you devote your time to sucking the life and faith out ALL people's beliefs. Are you happy little, blind one?, for dishonoring world religions. Be saved before it's too late. You''re risking eternity... risking nothing if ur christn
@AntiCyberbully1 I have said nothing offensive nor do you know me. Next time you respond to a comment don't be such a "close-minded, stubborn asshole", and maybe someone will want to waste their time by commented back to you.
If you study something that you WANT to be true, you aren't really studying it.
This guy is just full of confirmation bias...That's it. He wants it to be true so he takes ONLY the information that confirms, but ignores the parts that disagree with his preconcieved ignorance.
near death experiences is nothing but certain chemicals being released in your body and lack of oxygen to your brain. nothing more, nothing less. people think they are having out of body experiences while having a NDE, but there has been hospitals who try to test this theory by placing cards with numbers facing the ceiling on top of hospital equipment and no one reported seeing a number while "floating" on top of their bed.
@cyberwaffles What about all the nde reports of people who verified what other people were saying in other rooms in which they have no possible way of knowing?IF it was an hallucination wouldn't it all be in your head? And an experiment was done in the 1960's when a women who had spontaneous obe's succesfully read a 5-digit number in another room.
@americanEYE i'm still going to lean towards science and say that there is no afterlife. there are a lot of explanations for NDEs; and some that is claimed to be evidence is because doctors and/or nurses think they witness someone passing on into the afterlife which is anecdotal rather than factual. i would like to read your source about the woman's OBE however as that's a interesting read.
@americanEYE The subconscious is still a mysterious part of the brain which is continues to surprise us with what it is capable of. It takes in and processes all sorts of information without us even realizing.
Just because a woman appeared to have managed to either 'read' or guess a 5-digit number does not suggest that it was a genuine out of body experience and not a hallucination.
@lukey405 I don't see how her experience could have been an hallucination if they didn't give her any drugs like DMT and you said that she guessed the number but do you know what the chance of her guessing the numbers correctly were?
@americanEYE You don't need to have drugs to hallucinate.
The chances of her guessing the number are virtually zero, yes, which is why it more likely that she had seen the number at another time and not realized though her subconscious had taken note of it. She then recalled the number from her subconscious, without realizing.
I would say it is even MORE likely that you are in fact mistaken and it did not happen as you claim.
@lukey405 There are multiple websites that describe how the procedure took place.I would post you some links but I can't seem to do that. And one thing that doesn't make sense is that why they would let her anywhere near the number before or during the experiment as that would tamper with the variables.
What is a radiation oncologist doing studying near death experiences and the afterlife? Shouldn't he be busy oh, I don't know, trying to cure people of cancer?
Hello FOOLS!!!! Of course I"ll see a white angel and a beautiful light on a near death experience!!: IF I'M ON MY DEATH BED, OF COURSE I"LL BE ALLUCINATING, since my body is starting to malfunction, you "AFRAID OF THE UNKNOWN PEOPLE.
Yeah, the human mind is perfectly capable of recalling in perfect detail everything in their minds when it's deprived of oxygen and people are unconscious.
Funny that this guy says that almost everyone, good or bad characters, have the same pleasant experience. I've seen plenty accounts here on youtube where people went to hell and didn't like it at all,,,
@jamiemc102 the reason why some people go to heaven or hell is the same reason why some people have good or bad trips on psychedelics. when you're dying, its very possible to start hallucinating or have other emotional responses due to impending death. it has nothing to do with going to heaven or hell, its' just chemical reactions.
What a loser! BO Darwin's theory of evolution is short changed when people like you are not eliminated in the survival of the fittest. Too bad that science and medicine helped the weak minded people to survive. I wish no harm to any human, its just a pitty that natural selection in humans is altered by our knowledge learned in modern science and medicine.
I'd like to hear from atheists, Buddhists, Muslims, Pagans, Hindus, Aboriginal People, etc about their near death experiences. They always interview the Christian ones.
Science is the answer to how not why. As for religion, every single one of those books were wrote by man not "God". Science can't even explain the conscious mind yet so how can anyone say yay or neh?
...... Energy can't be created or destroyed, it only transforms right? So where does the energy that drives you go? The environment you where born into has an effect on how you act and think any way you look at it. Each decision is linked to a previous one somewhere in your past. All of this..... Trees, the air you breathe, the food you eat it all comes from somewhere. That great big burning ball of gas in the sky is just a fluke huh? OK
@MrBadbandit Where does the energy go after you yell? Where does the energy go after you turn a computer off? Where does the energy go when a star burns out? Where does the energy go after lightning strikes?
@JDivinorumVideo The energies you are asking about go through transformations. Your voice will bounce around in the room that you yell in forever, you just can't here it (ever wonder why you hear voices when no ones there sometimes?) Your computer is still using energy even after you turn it off, especially if it is plugged in.
@MrBadbandit add- When a star goes out the energy is disbursed in every direction, a white dwarf is usually left so energy sticks around. Lightening strikes release back into the atmosphere. Any more questions?
@MrBadbandit That's not true. Your voice won't bounce around a room forever. It will be absorbed by the walls and turned to heat energy. I still don't see how any of this proves the afterlife. What does energy in the physical universe have to do with a soul that isn't made of physical energy?
@JDivinorumVideo Its all linked dude, it takes energy for everything that you see, whether im wrong or not about where it goes i am right about the fact that energy never gets destroyed in information transforms. Theres a term for but i cant remember. IT all came from somewhere and it all goes somewhere. I am none of the above of the religions but i am terribly spiritual after my death experience. I used to not be sure so i was always on the fence about it.
@MrBadbandit ADD- When i was 16yo i was brought back after two minutes flat lined, that is a terribly long time in these terms. Anyways i remember everything during the two minutes, i could feel them working on me but what i saw and heard is beyond words that i could convey.
@MrBadbandit Add some more----- I have a different view to the beauty of the world around us and how crazy it is that we are even here. Like i said religions have it all wrong but they got a good idea, science is going to figure it out. There is something but we either will figure out eternal life first and not care anymore or we find something thats completely blows our mind.
@MrBadbandit You mean thermodynamics? I'm not religious either but I'm open minded. Was your near death experience similar to the ones that religious people have with seeing heaven or hell?
@JDivinorumVideo Yea, thermodynamics. I have never heard of a description of what i saw. For me everything made sense for those two minutes. I wish i had the ability to describe it to you because it changed me entire outlook.
@MrBadbandit The strange thing is that what i saw looked so amazingly complicated in relation to our world but yet I understood it all so clearly. I will say, No i did not see JEsus, i did not see loved ones. What i did see could be compared to looking up at the night sky in the Country only more stars.
@MrBadbandit Look up DMT secretion in the brain, it's the chemical released by your pineal gland that allows you to experience dreams during REM sleep. When you die, this chemical, along with many other beta-endorphins in the brain are released into the blood stream almost instantaneously, causing one of the strongest "highs" that are possible, before complete brain death. There are a lot of studies, most likely more accurate than this guy's, demonstrating how they cause NDE's.
I've had near death experiences. Let me tell you how they went. My consciousness was not there just like before my birth and when my consciousness was back in reality I woken up and the doctors would tell me that they thought I was about to be a goner. There is no fucking life after death, those that have experienced that shit were still conscious to a certain point which could also be said that they were suffering hallucinations.
when you're dying your brain produces DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) which is a natural hallucinogen, tons of people saying they're seen stuff? WELL DUH!
a near death experience would cause the chemical to be released which can cause any manner of hallucinations, there has never and likely will be never be any proof of any such afterlife.
The afterlife is whatever you want it to be, that is why they are all different. I've been there, it doesn't matter what you have done in this life because hell is on earth, we pay for our sins here in some form or another.
Lucifer rules and manipulates Earth, its in nearly every religion i have studied.
Perhaps instead of studying religion, you should consider studying science. There is no evidence, that the Earth is ruled by anything other than the laws of physics. The fact that many religions state similar things should be of no surprise, because they all borrow from each other. Things like Noah's flood was based out of the epic of gilgamesh for example.
@shiznick29 You know what is really dumb, the fact that shiznick can't spell. The dumbest remark is the one that calls others dumb and yet ignores the rules of punctuation and spelling.
@MrBadbandit Im sorry idiot I forgot to add "b" into "dumbest" when calling you that. I found like two grammatical errors in your comment about me not spelling correctly. Go figure. Btw, you still don't make sense in any of your comments. Good day sir!
@shiznick29 I don't see the cause for calling names unless you are a child. I figure that you must be a prepubescent kid. Its funny that you are the only person who had any problems understanding what i have put down. Maybe the idiot is the one who is left scratching their head and calling names because they feel left behind. Its okay Kiddo, you'll grow up some day.
"No two near-death experiences are identical." Thanks, Dr. Long - you've just completely destroyed any scientific credibility associated with the idea of an afterlife. If Xians see Xian imagery, but Hindus see Hindu imagery, at least one of them is wrong.
Hearing Bill do skepticism is incredible! - he asks several questions that I myself would have asked.
if there is an afterlife, why cant a good man live on this earth forever? the only man who, on the basis of humans, is near-immortal.in near-death experiences, you tend to see the hospital light, (ive seen flashes in my eyes when i was seriously sick when i was 4-6yrs old) the doctors or relatives around you, because of religous belief and superstition, you would instantly think that this is heaven. there is an explanation for everything. this counts in as psychology.
How do they know which god this is?Did he say his name?Must not be the god of the bible. How many people have claimed yo be abducted by aliens?Must be true.
What does everyone have against Bill O'Reilly?? Seriously, I'm just wondering because there's soo much hate against him on the internet. My parents watch him, but I never really have.
If such things are real perhaps those who have an experience is to test that experience and perhaps the best way to do that is to come back with information no one could have know or even to try and change the experience by will just as you might in a dream And if you can manipulate the vision or experience then surely that would proof its not real It would be a good idea to have test subjects who will try this and see what happens The best subjects probably to test this would be scientist
@naybobdenod now i wouldnt say that. i watched a documentary about reincarnation and little kids were recalling afterlifes they had one boy 3 yrs old saying his plane went down from japanaese and other crazy details and another saying he was choked to death by somebody putting something around his neck in a car
@ikhanlaw How does not existing before you were born give you confidence that you will still exist after you die? Without a functioning brain how will you be conscious? To me it sounds like you just admitted that without a life before, you didn't exist, so why do you think you will after that process has stopped?
Does this guy have any evidence to back up anything he's asserting? How do we know we can trust a brain that was in such a traumatic situation? All these stories have nothing to say about an afterlife, what they are is evidence of how the brain works. They're all somewhat similar because human brains all function somewhat alike.
your not dead after you die. Electricity and is still flowing, organs are still alive. NASA pilots in flight simulators pass out and report the same crap that everyone else does in theirs. Its all the same thing.. THe brain goes crazy under these conditions. Its like a drug. Its not proof of an afterlife. A radiation oncologist doesnt know shit about the brain. Talk to a neurologist.
He's confusing afterlife god with religion god. God in the bibles etc is a man-made with man's crap attached. God in afterlife is not. Many people are born into different religions through various lives and some into no religion. It's simply a cultural thing not a reality. You still regardless have to answer to the Force. Hitler and the rest seem to have been on a learning curve. Learning takes place individually and collectively. Well that's my guess for it. LIke all I know fuck all for sure!
The fact that we exist right now and we didnt before is reason enough for me to believe there is a God and life after death. If it has already happened once I cant understand how people can so confidently say that there is no such possibility of it happening again.
If there is life after death everyone will experience. Its a natural thing then, nature doesn't care if the person was good or bad, thats a human religious concept.
oreilly is obsessed with trying to figure out if even the REALLY BAD PEOPLE go to the same place as good people, cause the dumb fuck shill knows he's a real bad motherfucker manipulating the minds of 100's of millions of people for money and power, and guess what mother fucker, i guarantee, shit is not going to work out for your stupid ass in the afterlife, cause im going to be there to confront you, with 1 million souls behind me, have fun in this dimesions while it last shill
Bill seems quite curious as to whether truly terrible and horrible people (life himself) have positive experiences after death. Bill's trying to figure out if his sorry, cowardly, pathetic, traitorous, blackmailed weak ass is going to hell when he dies. I see a sense of relief in Bills eyes when the doctor tells him even hitler level evil, like bill, still dont suffer in the afterlife, got news for you bill thats only the beginning of the afterlife,
A collection of consistant eye witness testemonies of the after life does not prove after life one bit. On the same level there are thousands of consistant Alien abduction stories too. Should we call that evidence?
Hey dumbass when I fake-punch you, you flinch right... It's a human reaction to feel that way cause of the adrenaline/endorphin rush that ur ass is feeling.MD my ass I'm 14 and I know more that this idiot.
Terrible scientist- to come to a conclusion based on anecdotes. He also says that no 2 near-death experiences are the same. Well if you're gonna take them as evidence of the afterlife, don't you think they should be!!??
Jeffrey long is deceived....beautiful afterlife for all of us? Where is the justice of God? I wouldn't want a God like that. Life wouldn't be so safe with a God like that...
Just like always, assumptions pushing more assumptions. This is how religions dumbed down people for thousands of years. Can we push all these assumptions to the side and get some real studies done without the religious num nuts looking over our heads.
@Tavarith Ah, finally, it's now been confirmed that DMT is traceable in the human body, that's no longer an argument. As to where is it's being produced is debatable, but the pineal gland looks like an excellent candidate.

From what little I know about Psychology: when you can share an experience "verbatim" 8 years later, it was not a real experience.
If it is a real experience, your memory fades and fogs up and your story changes drastically over long periods of time.
If it is a rehearsed story, you can repeat the same thing over and over for years on end.

Bottom line if you spend your life in a religion that worries about fanciful afterlives and such, chances are when you die those images appear.
dawgpost90 1 month ago 2
@dawgpost90- You couldn't be MORE wrong. Maybe you should consider looking up stories of the people who were atheists and not Christian who died and then went to HELL and they didn't even believe in hell in the first place.

near death experiences is nothing but certain chemicals being released in your body and lack of oxygen to your brain. nothing more, nothing less. people think they are having out of body experiences while having a NDE, but there has been hospitals who try to test this theory by placing cards with numbers facing the ceiling on top of hospital equipment and no one reported seeing a number while "floating" on top of their bed.
cyberwaffles 1 month ago
@cyberwaffles What about all the nde reports of people who verified what other people were saying in other rooms in which they have no possible way of knowing?IF it was an hallucination wouldn't it all be in your head? And an experiment was done in the 1960's when a women who had spontaneous obe's succesfully read a 5-digit number in another room.
americanEYE 1 month ago
@americanEYE i'm still going to lean towards science and say that there is no afterlife. there are a lot of explanations for NDEs; and some that is claimed to be evidence is because doctors and/or nurses think they witness someone passing on into the afterlife which is anecdotal rather than factual. i would like to read your source about the woman's OBE however as that's a interesting read.
cyberwaffles 1 month ago
@americanEYE The subconscious is still a mysterious part of the brain which is continues to surprise us with what it is capable of. It takes in and processes all sorts of information without us even realizing.
Just because a woman appeared to have managed to either 'read' or guess a 5-digit number does not suggest that it was a genuine out of body experience and not a hallucination.
lukey405 1 month ago
@lukey405 I don't see how her experience could have been an hallucination if they didn't give her any drugs like DMT and you said that she guessed the number but do you know what the chance of her guessing the numbers correctly were?
americanEYE 4 weeks ago
@americanEYE You don't need to have drugs to hallucinate.
The chances of her guessing the number are virtually zero, yes, which is why it more likely that she had seen the number at another time and not realized though her subconscious had taken note of it. She then recalled the number from her subconscious, without realizing.
I would say it is even MORE likely that you are in fact mistaken and it did not happen as you claim.
lukey405 4 weeks ago
@lukey405 There are multiple websites that describe how the procedure took place.I would post you some links but I can't seem to do that. And one thing that doesn't make sense is that why they would let her anywhere near the number before or during the experiment as that would tamper with the variables.

OK
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit Where does the energy go after you yell? Where does the energy go after you turn a computer off? Where does the energy go when a star burns out? Where does the energy go after lightning strikes?
JDivinorumVideo 2 months ago
@JDivinorumVideo The energies you are asking about go through transformations. Your voice will bounce around in the room that you yell in forever, you just can't here it (ever wonder why you hear voices when no ones there sometimes?) Your computer is still using energy even after you turn it off, especially if it is plugged in.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit add- When a star goes out the energy is disbursed in every direction, a white dwarf is usually left so energy sticks around. Lightening strikes release back into the atmosphere. Any more questions?
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit That's not true. Your voice won't bounce around a room forever. It will be absorbed by the walls and turned to heat energy. I still don't see how any of this proves the afterlife. What does energy in the physical universe have to do with a soul that isn't made of physical energy?
JDivinorumVideo 2 months ago
@JDivinorumVideo Its all linked dude, it takes energy for everything that you see, whether im wrong or not about where it goes i am right about the fact that energy never gets destroyed in information transforms. Theres a term for but i cant remember. IT all came from somewhere and it all goes somewhere. I am none of the above of the religions but i am terribly spiritual after my death experience. I used to not be sure so i was always on the fence about it.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit ADD- When i was 16yo i was brought back after two minutes flat lined, that is a terribly long time in these terms. Anyways i remember everything during the two minutes, i could feel them working on me but what i saw and heard is beyond words that i could convey.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit Add some more----- I have a different view to the beauty of the world around us and how crazy it is that we are even here. Like i said religions have it all wrong but they got a good idea, science is going to figure it out. There is something but we either will figure out eternal life first and not care anymore or we find something thats completely blows our mind.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit You mean thermodynamics? I'm not religious either but I'm open minded. Was your near death experience similar to the ones that religious people have with seeing heaven or hell?
JDivinorumVideo 2 months ago
@JDivinorumVideo Yea, thermodynamics. I have never heard of a description of what i saw. For me everything made sense for those two minutes. I wish i had the ability to describe it to you because it changed me entire outlook.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit The strange thing is that what i saw looked so amazingly complicated in relation to our world but yet I understood it all so clearly. I will say, No i did not see JEsus, i did not see loved ones. What i did see could be compared to looking up at the night sky in the Country only more stars.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago

There is no fucking life after death, those that have experienced that shit were still conscious to a certain point which could also be said that they were suffering hallucinations.
kingkong8974 2 months ago
when you're dying your brain produces DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) which is a natural hallucinogen, tons of people saying they're seen stuff? WELL DUH!
a near death experience would cause the chemical to be released which can cause any manner of hallucinations, there has never and likely will be never be any proof of any such afterlife.
DemoraX 2 months ago
The afterlife is whatever you want it to be, that is why they are all different. I've been there, it doesn't matter what you have done in this life because hell is on earth, we pay for our sins here in some form or another.
Lucifer rules and manipulates Earth, its in nearly every religion i have studied.
MrBadbandit 2 months ago
@MrBadbandit
Perhaps instead of studying religion, you should consider studying science. There is no evidence, that the Earth is ruled by anything other than the laws of physics. The fact that many religions state similar things should be of no surprise, because they all borrow from each other. Things like Noah's flood was based out of the epic of gilgamesh for example.

if there is an afterlife, why cant a good man live on this earth forever? the only man who, on the basis of humans, is near-immortal.in near-death experiences, you tend to see the hospital light, (ive seen flashes in my eyes when i was seriously sick when i was 4-6yrs old) the doctors or relatives around you, because of religous belief and superstition, you would instantly think that this is heaven. there is an explanation for everything. this counts in as psychology.
