dega 2009 would have killed him because he hit hard upside down. Kevin Harvick saved his life by making Newman's car land softer and Newman might have gone into grass if Harvick wasn't there and he would have barrel rolls.

@Bluestorm5 not necessarily. search these two crashes: MArk Thompson ARCA flip and Michael waltrip 2000 flip daytona. Waltrip came down on his roof about as hard as Newman would've. Mark thompson hit tons harder in his barrel rolls than Ryan Newman would've. Both of those drivers survived. I do agree that the chances of him surviving would be a lot less

@Bluestorm5 not ture, flipping is waaaaay less dangerous than any other crash, its just scary. with every flip you disapate energy, it's like being punched lightly 5 times. hitting the wall is alll thoug hits in one blows, that's why most deaths at this level never occur when a car flips
