  • Could you post a video of the centre dash AC unit inside the car I'm thinking about adding one to my car and want to get an idea of how easy it will be to fit and what work will be required.

I've caught a glimpse of it in your other videos but I would really appreciate a good look.

    Cheers

  • @Doigable i take it you are wanting to put one in the same type of car? i can do a vid for you. just let me know what type of car. i have a few vids up of installing a similar a/c in a 108 merc.

  • @V8Jagnut. Sorry yes my car is a series 1 xj6 (V8 conversion), I've had a few quick glances of the centere dash unit in your series 1 in your other videos, but it would be a great help if I could have a decent look and get an idea of how difficult it would be to fit one to my car.

    Thanks

  • @Doigable ok cool. ill see what i can do for ya.

  • I've got mine set up kinda like that on my Chevy van. I have an electric fan on the front, which is run by a switch that activates it when my head pressure gets over 180 psi (I've only had it cut in a couple of times during long idling on hot days). I've also got a heavy-duty thermostatic clutch on the engine-driven fan (original to the truck.)

  • cool. if you wire your fans so they come on all the time your compressor will last longer and you will use less fuel and the a/c will be colder. 180psi is too high
