really nice tutorial man, I learned quite a bit. a little bit was just reinforcing concepts that I already knew (playing mostly notes in the scale for example), but I really liked how you layered those sounds. thanks so much for this
That is beautiful, could I ask how you got such nice sounds on the program? I am using fruity loops but none of the instruments on the right panel sound so nice. Did you alter the instruments in FL?
VanderkayOfficial This was beautiful, Really helpfull too. This'll definately help me when I get a little more practice. But please finish this song and release it? :). This is something i'd be more than willing to buy if I found it on itunes.. Thumbs up man.
This sounds like it would be a wonderful intro for a Hard Trance or Electro song. If you have a finished product of this, I'd love to hear it. I'm an aspiring DJ, myself, so I'm looking for all the inspiration and informative tutorials I can get my hands on to get myself up and going. So far, I'm stuck in my progression, but I think this tutorial just got me out of the crappy melody hole I was stuck in. Much appreciated.
Vanderkay, I'm making a remix of this track right now. I was wondering exactly what FX you used for 4:33? If you could please tell me, that would be GREAT! I plan on uploading the remix as soon as I finish it.
Very beautiful! It's very rare finding someone who knows what their talking about on youtube, especially when it comes to electronica music. Very awesome video, and amazing tune man!
Loved every bit of it. Who ever is arguing abt what genre it belongs to definitely doesn't know about euphoric/uplifting trance. Go listen to some ASOT and you will be invited in our trance family. Vanderkay you rock. this is the best trance tutorial ever...................
'dont make what you think other people will like, thats just wrong. make what you like' 100% agree with you mate. If you dont like it, then how can you expect others to like it? :P
@Jericho2507 You know what you just did there? Saying trance arp, is like saying a guitar can only be used in rock.. And just to enlighten you, no electro style sounds were used at all in this clip, maybe you should rethink that perhaps it's the electro you hear, that used from the trance scene.
Great tutorial, you are so right create only from within and never give up! I feel that some of the simpliest chord progressions sound the best and have great impact. Please keep up the good work. Thank you
Thanks for your reply, I have a Yamaha DJX1 connected via midi to FL Studio 8. Got it all set up and experimented with the sounds in Nexus and Sytrus VST. But I do not play piano so dont have any theory understanding. But I am a massive trance fan and love the pads, chords found in this music, Would I need to learn piano to be able to creat my own? what are some good chords for trance?
@pn82hhz Thanks alot for your reply, I'm glad you liked it. I guess it requires some basic knowledge indeed, but as I mention, it's just a matter of giving it a go and not letting anything stop you. Practise makes master :-)
what string/choir presets did you use for the intro?
