I got this recently in used condition (obviously), can't wait to try it out on snow, been too busy to try it anywhere else.
Also, I discovered the tilting function is to steer when driving sideways (like on pavement or hardwood) since u can't power-screw your way over smooth surfaces. Doesn't seem like a lot of ppl know that.
@gorrammit I just got one of these used on Craigslist for $30, and even the guy trying to sell it to me didn't know how to drive it well!
When I first got the thing, I was stuck on driving it "straight" like a normal car, but that's only good for soft stuff like snow & mud, or driving on water. For any semi-hard surface, the sideways "crabwalk" is the way to go, and they can really move! The tilt action not only steers when "crabwalking", it also helps by shifting weight for driving on water.
