Linux-Ubuntu Test Visual Effects to the limit (common pc)

Too bad Linux is CRAP I got Linux now and NOTHING works my visual effects wont work says can be enabled or something like that and my keyboard is FUCKED up can do a dot or anything not even a asking sign.

hmm performance seems very sluggish for the compiz effects...that odd because I have a pentium 4 2.00ghz, 1.5 gb of ram and compiz runs alot faster than that for me but it shouldnt

Can any one HELP me, I have a problem with my ubuntu 9.04, When it boots up the login sound gets stuck in a loop and never stops. Any help?
