A lovely tone you have..nice and bright crisp performance..As a jazz fluteplayer I always thought the flute could never match the pathos of the violin in this Khachaturian concerto - far too sweet & not nasty enough - and wouldn't it be a good idea if in the staccato eight note runs a classical flautist might have the guts one day to overblow some of the eighth notes in the fast forte passages to match the raw savage percussiveness of the violin bowing those same runs..just an idea ;-)

Your accompanist was too loud! You sounded wonderful by the way! Some of your foot movement made me worry, but alas I am not a flautist (or flutist if you prefer).
Did you double tongue the notes in the piece or slur them, because I'm trying to play this for some state music festival next year and I don't think I can such a long piece, that quickly with double tonguing.
Very impressive! I've been working on this piece for years (I'm a non-music major in college, with little time to practice), and I know how difficult this piece is. I wish that Rampal had found some good places to breathe while transcribing it--that's one of the biggest issues.
Anyway, fabulous playing, beautiful tone quality, too. And I am a huge fan of the Pahud recording.
Incredible! I saw a part of this concerto performed on a flute-like Armenian folk instrument in an old documentary about Khachaturian. It was played to a full orchestra. You should try this with full orchestra, too.
Cool.. Well, in these parts of the world it is difficult to find an orchestra to perform with, but I sure think how it would be to do. I often listen to the Pahud recording because of the fabulous Tonhalle orchestra.
hey dude great job on the piece.. im currently learning this piece for competition.. not easy piece huh?? well kinda worried on stamina.. cant imagine playing all 3 movements all at ones.. its crazy.. tongue twisting too.. its hard to get this ppiece here(singapore). they dont have it anywhere.. even when i wanna order it, they say they cant bring in.. so now im reading with a piano score that the local library has.. btw great job!

nothing personal, but didn't like your performance... Loved Pahud's though )

@LordN3mrod well, this kid is 30 years younger ... I am sure he could reach Pahud's level if he keeps studing hard

buena grabación, tiene buen sonido y almenos toca todas las notas apesar de lo difícil que es le obra para la flauta ya que es original para violín.
