  • this is a great trot! im currently riding on my horse, Red, and he's a super stubborn chesnut colored Arabian Gelding, and honestly...im not the best a posting, but its very fun!

    you are really good!

  • i think you should try to keeep ur hands together and down but great trot!!:)

  • @saraxax713 ok thanks :)

  • @Nikkinatasha13 I like the horse PRETTY

  • I think your posting trot is excellent. Your effectivly rising and sitting the trot without interfering with the horse, and thats all it is in my opinion

  • okay thanks

  • ur leaning a bit foward but other then that rlly good job :-)

  • you might want to tighten your lower leg a bit... when you post your foot moves.

    great job though!!!!!!!! cute horse!! : ) : )

  • you are overly arched and too far forward.

  • my back is not too arched but yeah im leaning too forward.

  • for my opinion, in this particular video it was too arched through the beginning at least.

    your legs are killer though!

and i looked at your newer videos- there awesome :)

  • I agree with that you are leaning a bit forward. I think you make your leathers longer (1-2 holes) it will help. Other than that, you look good.

I rode in short stirrups and I felt like I was all over the place!

  • mmkay. thanks =]

  • that looks pretty good, except your back is too arched and your leaning a bit.. Keep up the nice riding.

  • alrightyy

    thanks =]

  • You need to bend your horse's head in around the corners. He's going around all straight you want a slight bend in his neck .

  • yep yep

  • suck in your bellybutton is what my instructor told me. your back is WAY too arched.

  • it's not over arched, if anything im leaning too far forward.

  • You are slightly leaning forward and you are arching your back to much. Practice in your saddle when you are off of your horse and see what you think feels good.

  • k .

  • great, heres a hint: my trainer always tell me to bring my bellybotton to your hands. Dont go straight up, hte judges like the proffeshional style~!

  • bellybotton? lol

  • yep, keep your back straight, or basicly don't slouch, and don't stand str8 up (sorry for chatspeak), and keep your head still. That's what I do ;)

  • try staying up for 1 more second and put all of your wait into your heels, (slant heel down, toes up) but other then that, great job! ;)

  • thanks =]

  • *** could everyone please stop commenting on lengthening my irons and view the newer videos to comment. thanks! ***

  • As everone has already said, lengthen those irons!

  • mhm.

  • Sheesh, girl, you like your irons short! A one or two hole lengthen would be great- also a teensy bit more collection- but otherwise you looked beautiful!

  • Thanks.

  • a longer leg could help your position, just leighten ur sturrps a bit. try to sit up a smidgen straighter and bend your elbows. i still forget to keep my elbows in at times! but in all your posture is good. Mickey should be more foreward at times try to keep a constant pace (it's hard i know) he needs to get that back end under him.

Which the horse i ride, ziggy doesn't doshe started cross cantering today because she didn't wan to do a flyinglead change with her back end!

  • lol thanks!

  • well your posture looks like mine, but my reigns are extra short because im ridng a Thoroghbred who LOOVES this reignes to have a little extra contact and i belive all horses need their regins a different length and way but as you said before you are aiming hm for pleasure so i guess all i can say is your doing pretty good in my eyes...

    Have fun with mickey!

  • Thanks so much!

  • You two make a nice pair! I love the quiet position of your hands, but I think you would benefit from shortening your reins; remember to bend into the corners; lengthening your stirrups a hole or two would perfect your leg position; and keep your shoulders even (but that might be because of the terrain?). Lastly, don't forget that he should be working hard than you! Wake him up!

There are a lot of ridiculous comments from some pretty ignorant people. Don't listen to them! Nice work! :)

  • Thanks! And I tried having longer reins to work on his head position because I was mainly aiming to ride him pleasure, so a longer looser rein.

Thanks so much for commenting!! =]

  • oh and you should try and produce muscle in his head cos he is just leaning it. use drawing reains or elastics

  • your horse is cute but he is lacking allot of energy and is very fat...

  • He's by no means overweight, that's for sure...but okay.

  • hi! it looked really good! what i did see is that your back is a little hollow (arched). But other than what everybody else said, really nice!

  • Thanks!

  • posting is bad for the horse it puts a lot of strain on them

  • lol I think that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

if it was bad for the horse, then tons of veterinarians and equine therapists would tell people to not post. Being on a horse's back in the first place puts stress on them, so please, educate yourself a little lol

  • Actually, posting is somewhat better for the horses back.

As long as you do it correctly, it helps the horse balance, and helps them with the movement.

  • tru dat.

  • nice trot:)

I think you should lower your stirrups a hole or two..and pull his head in just a little.

    but otherwise you look awsommeee:))

  • alrighty, thanks! =]

  • lol awesome, but in england we call it rising trot not posting trot lol

  • lol i think i've heard it called a rising trot too lol thats fnny

  • yeah, you might want to lower your stirrups. And ake sure your hands are lower. You are a great rider though. You have nnice posture. Were do you ride?

  • looks good! pull your elbows in and put your hands up. pretnding that you are holding 2 mugs of hot coffee you dont want to spill will put your hands/elbows in the ideal position. i also agree that your stirrups shold go down a whole or 2. like i said though it looks good! cute horse :]

  • Alrighty, thank you!

  • Lovely!!

I also think dropping stirrups a hole or two would really help. Your knee is a bit too high.

You really look nice!! Post new video with longer stirrup and look at the difference and see what you and your trainer think.

    Have fun!!

  • I rode today and tried lengthening my stirrups and I think it kept my two-point position better. Thanks for commenting!

  • You go girl !! I am glad!! Keep up the good work!!

  • U look really good, u seemed a lil stiff tho. just sit deep and relax. but u hav a good seat and natural ability, keep up the good work! =D

  • Alrighty, I'll try that. Thanks for commenting!

  • u dont hav to go w/ wat i say u no lol, u already hav a trainer =D

  • Well, it doesn't hurt to try lol

  • LOL thats true!

  • you have a nice posture, but i'd lean back a little bit more, and lower your stirrups a hole or 2. they look kinda short. but you like you have a very nice posture. =]

  • Thanks! =D
