Their music is so special, so original and mindblowing. It's the 10000th time i'm listening to this album and still it amazes me the same as the first time. Pure psychedelia and poetry both music and lyrics.
@CrazyCory564 Oh yeah, Roger Water's The Wall concert is a MUST see concert... 20 years from now you'll look back and tell your kids that the best concert ever performed was the wall by roger waters... apparently david gilmoure is planning on coming and playing the wall with with roger sometimes soon... unfortunately it'll probably end up being some place bigger than the small town cities lol :/ ah well
@CrazyCory564 In Philly? Yea, I saw the 11/11 show. Man, no concert will ever, ever top that one.... and I got plenty of more concerts ahead in my life.
@MICRO5136 Not really!Ray Charles is better!!Or david Bowie or Mick Jagger or Joni Mithchell or David Gilmore or John Lennon or Robert Plant...................
Hey, this is certainly the best part of the 3 parts. Has the most buildup. Parts 1 and 4 of the album are the high points. Part 3 is meh and part 2 is okay.
I like this part better than part 2. Then again, that is probably because this is my first time hearing this part versus the 5000 times I have heard part 2.
I used to lie in bed in junior high with headphones on listening to The Wall, entering the subconscious state of mind. Every time I listen to it again, it's always better.
i'm always very glad, if not grateful, for the MR FM stations back in their day (70s) play the (what they called) intro.... (or leader, in lesser talk) to their HIT,which was astonishing... imagine that, PF with a top ten if not 5 hit back in 79-80..... about g'damned time. :D thanks for the upload.
Without the visuals of the movie, you can feel Pink remembering just the shouts of the kids who used to play with their parents, which must have felt horrible for young Pink, creating a negative memory of his childhood and thus, another brick in the wall.
Roger is the king of modern day poets and a master of ambience and he was also backed with the best musicians in the world. Fantastic combination that defies time because Floyd's music never ages.

OMG why can't they sing more and play the stupid guitar less! I listened to the Korn remake first and now I can't make myself wait for 2 minutes of repetitive twanging between lyrics in this one...Great song, all else considered though
The Korn remake is an embarrassment to Pink Floyd. You obviously have never tripped to Pink Floyd before, otherwise you would know the truth behind their guitar. I forgive your foolishness.
Who can listen to just one song of the Wall side one? Can't be done. I drop disc one in and im listening to the whole thing start to finish. What a masterpiece.
Greatest album of all time. Talk about rock poets! Man these guys were ahead of their time . . . way ahead! Every song blends into the next. Masterpiece.
Look I know you are all Pink Floyd fans here. I am a BIG one too. There are number one in my book, but you have to give credit where credit is due. The Who did it for close to four decades almost straight and have a ton of songs. I am just trying not to be biased and give credit where it is due. Sorry for the confusion.
MY two favorite bands of all time, 1. Pink Floyd, 2. Led Zeppelin.

When the Tiger's Broke Free wasn't included on the original album, it was written around the same time, but just left out, for whatever reason, it only first appeared in the film version of The Wall
If I could listen to this 24/7, I would.
