  • Thanks for the video. I just replaced the regulator and motor (all one assembly) in my 03 gmc truck. Can this be done an 02 Firebird or do I need to just replace the motor- it looks easier to just replace the whole assembly -that way no drilling. What do you think?

  • Hey guys, do you have a vid on how to replace the regulator too?

  • Just completed install of window motor in less than an hour. Thanks for the how-to video, it made the job quick and simple.

  • My window makes a very annoying shreeking noise when being used, what do I need to fix/replace? Window motor is fine, rolls up/down no problem... just has that VERY annoying high pitched noise.

  • I just did my window motor on my 94 Z28 and this video was also a big help thanks man :)

  • Thanks for the vid. I just swap the motor on my '98 Z28 and this video was a huge help.

  • Thank you! Got the part for $28 off Ebay with your video I was able to install it myself! Saved me $400+++++ !! Thank you!!!!

  • Much Appreciated.

  • thanks sooo much man, your a life saver, i gotta 95 firebird formula an the motor burnt out an with no ac it suxs,,,thanks a whole lot!!!

  • Thanks alot man you just saved me $250!

  • Thank you soooo much for posting this video. I thought i was gonna have to take apart the whole door. The only hold up was that one of the screws mounting the motor was stripped. THANX

  • Awesome! Thanks.. My motor is going on the passenger side. I heard that there was a problem with the passenger side only getting 9V, some GM issue. There is a fix kit you can buy for 25 - 30 bucks.. have you heard of this?

  • @DukeNukem65 That's the same thing I've been hearing on the forum, but hopefully a motor will do the trick, and with a lifetime warranty next time it goes out, I'll just pop it out and replace it.

  • THANKS!!!!They wanted $400 in Vancouver BC as well. Found motor online for $25 and rolled up my sleaves. I don't normally take on projects this large but you motivated me to try. Except for a stripped bolt that was holding the motor ...everything went relatively according to your plan. 1995 Camero Covertble. THnaks again for taking the time to upload the movie. thejorgeee

  • Thank you. I followed your video step by step and replaced two motors on my wife's 1996 Z28. It took me a lot longer but saved $400 per door - that is what they wanted in Santa Clara, Ca to fix each door. Thank you.

  • You make it look easy, my 1999 Camaro window is having this issue. I was thinking it might be the power window control unit (having trouble finding it) but all reports I read focus on the power window motor or the thermal cutout in the unit itself. My problem is as I am in Australia the postage is more expensive than the power window devices.

  • And what did you use to replace the rivets?

  • @RamAirTA98 The nuts/bolts that come with the new motor.

  • @MobileTechVideos My motor came without any additional hardware. Any idea on bolt size/length? I can match some thread pitch and nuts but should the bolt fit the hole exactly or is it okay to have a little room as long as the nut and bolt hold tight?

  • You (guys?) are awesome! Saved me a lot of time as other walkthroughs weren't helpful!

  • I bought my new motor still assembled to the arm.

Carefull... Its spring loaded and nearly cut my finger off when I removed the motor.

  • ty glade to see that there is one good vid about this job well done , this made it a lot easier from me to do this to my 98 camaro ,

  • @rockerstarwwe1 Update : After I took off the old motor I tested the one I got from a junk yard last fall and the friggen thing didnt work ether so just to make sure it was not my wiring I did a test strait off the battery with a few wires and sure enough both motors failed to operate one my old one barley move and the junk yard one move up and down once then frozen so I called the junk yard and he would not replace it cause it was last fall when I got it grrr so Im looking for one on line

  • @rockerstarwwe1 Do you still need a pair. I have an extra pair that was sent to me which I tested and they work.

  • ive got 2000 camaro and ive replaced the motor twice since buying it in 02, now its gone out again, nice video by the way, my question is why does it keep going out every two years or so. im actually to the point to were i wish i could install a rollup mechanism instead and is that possible

  • Thank you for this video!! very well done.

  • thanks thanks grate video i just finished installing my window motor on my camaro 94 z28 thank you very much .it was a lot of help.

  • Nice Video. I've done this to third gen. Camaro's, I'm about to replace both motors in my 96 RS Camaro. I see the trick is drilling 3 holes so you can drill directly into the power window motor rivets and you don't have to remove any more of the window hardware. very Smart

  • what good is having a badass car if ya cant roll down your window and talk shit to the ricer next to you? i don't have that problem anymore. A little tricky since the video was on passanger door, and mine was the driver. ( drilling to find the rivets) thanks, made the job alot easier. wish i woulda done it sooner.

  • Thank you !!!!! this was very helpful great info and how to video. Made my 95 formula window motor replacement job easier!!!! lol... just did opti-spark then a few days later the window motor died , and I still have header gaskets to do...

  • 98 FB. Passenger window doesn't go down, doesn't go up, no noise, doesn't even attempt to move. Motor? or more?

  • @CoolingTurtle Most likely motor. Just get in there and plug in a new motor to see. This is LSXMOVIE btw just posting from my other channel.

  • very good tutorial!

  • holy crap. i hope its half that easy when i replace mine. thanks for the vid. it will save me tons of time

  • I just did the window motor install, it works like a charm. Thanks again.

  • Thats awersome man. Where the hell was this friggin video 5 years ago when I had to "LEARN" this on my 96 z28 lol. Great vid guys.

  • Good video! both of my window motors are toast, I guess this weekend will be a good time to swap them thanks for posting this video, you should post more!

  • Good video, I'm doing this in my WS6 soon and it's going to help me a lot.

  • @sprayta No problem bud. Remember the WS6 has a different screw pattern on the door panel and there is one extra one that the camaro doesn't have. Once the panel is off though, it's all the same.
