I think los Blops started earlier than 1970. That was when Eduardo joined them but I saw them at a music festival in 1968 or 69 when the sang "San Franciscan nights or Good Times(Eric Burdon)> I was playing with Eduardo in The Apparition and The Blops impressed us then. You need to listen to Tartaleta de Frutillas which they recorded in about 1973 or 4. Great!

I am a Chilean, I saw Los Blops perform several times in Santiago at Teatro Marconi, at the Instituto Cultural de Providencia and other places, at ehe end of the 60s and begining of the 70s. There were other very good bands at the time, Congreso, Los Vidrios Quebrados, Los Jaivas... I forget the others.

Tengo ese disco...actually it's a pretty good album, how did you discover Los Blops? If you like chilean rock from the 70s you should listen to Los Jaivas, they are pretty amazing, more like prog rock mixed with andean music. But I like los Blops, and this song is amazing.

It features songs from 1967 to 1973, and while all of them are good, this one really stood out. I put the record on while I was cleaning one day and when Los Momentos came on I knew I had to share it, after getting permission from Eduardo Gatti via email to use it on my vlog. The problem with the Blops is that after the coup of 73 they separated because of the political situation in Chile and all recording or images from the period disapeard. I remember I when back to Chile in 2001 for my work (I live in Canada, Montreal) and I when to a barbecue and this this guy was playing guitar and he ask me, what song do you want me to sing, and I ask for this one, because it's my favorite, and if you go to Chile, you will discover that los momentos is a classic.
Los Blops is one of the most underrated band of Chile. Many people in my country, Chile, don't know them, but Los Momentos is a song that all the chilean people know. I suggest you some beautiful songs of Los Blops for listen: Sambayé, Atlántico, Locomotora, Tartaleta de Frutillas, Pirómano, Campos verdes.
