i remeber being 6 years old when this came out and how me and mom and my brother would watch this series along with buffy,angel,charmed. Now im rewatching it since my mother passing away in april 2010 and it reminds me of good times. Also Richard Dean Anderson is amazing!

There are three movies. One of them was in theaters and introduced the series. That was the one with Ra.

The other two of them were straight-to-DVD and took place after season 10. The first of these wraps up the Ori story arc. The second deals with Ba'al.

He came back to play numerous times in Season 10 and also for a few eps in season 3 of Atlantis. Not to mention the fact that he is in the new Stargate movie, Continuum.

I do love Stargate SG-1 as much I love Star Trek and Star Wars. Yes I have seen Stargate: The Ark of Truth. I got the movie. I also got the Stargate SG-1 Season 1-10 Collection except I don't have Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Continuum yet. I even have the original Stargate movie (the extended cut version) on Blu-Ray Disc.

I'm sort of looking forward seeing Star Trek (2009). The teaser trailer was awesome and I hope the movie is too. Since it has the Transformers writers, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman then I'm sure it will be great. The movie I'm really looking forward right now is The Dark Knight (Batman Begins Sequel) and I can't wait when it's July 18th. I even can't wait for the Incredible Hulk and I have seen Iron Man and it was awesome.

(1) LOL i love the three Star shows to. and i have the DVD sets you speak of to. i did feel the ending of 'truth' was a bit simple i mean Anubis was defeated the same way, and i was disappointed it wasn't a 100% Ori movie. (Replicators) but still it was a great movie. oh right i do have the Atlantis sets. hmmm I've been a Transformers fan since it began in the 80s, but i don't really like the Micheal Bay movie. i say that as a tf and movie fan. but i will respect your opinion!

(2) so I'm a bit worried because Orci and Kurtzman are the writers! but they also worked on the Hercules and Xena TV shows and I'm a fan of those to. plus its Star trek, its about my favorite era of Trek, and Nimoy is in it. (who is famous in both the Trek and Formers franchises!) the only problem i have with it is i would have like to see William Shatner in it. the Knight movie looks cool and seems to respects its source material. the Joker is my fave Bat villain...so.

Dead wrong! It's actually from season ONE and HALF of season TWO. At least in Sweden, but I don't see why we would change stuff. I know they do it all the time in other countries, but not here. Belive that.

Anyway, after this supreb intro they switched to some stupid close-up on a Goa'uld statue. Real freakin' dumb. I mean, you wanna se the actors on an intro. Anyhow, they kept that stupid statue close-up for several seasons.

In the US, when Stargate originally aired on ShoTime it was the Statue closeup until Season 5. Then Sci-Fi picked it up @ S6 and make the intro for the first few eps of Season 6 to be a close up on the Stargate. Then they made a new character intro for the rest of Season 6 and a new one every season after. They also made a new intro for Seasons 1-5 for syndication, which in this intro, in question.
